Okay, now it's time to take you through the actual sub domain or sub tracking ID that you're going to set up. Most times if you use anything on social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc, they're going to start getting smarter. Facebook already does block these types of links. Why? Because clickmagick is used by 10s of thousands of users. And out of those 10s of thousands of users, if even one of them happens to be a bad apple or a bad seed, then it basically bans Facebook bans the entire website domain from ever appearing again, on its search engines.

So what that basically means is that you're going to want to use a sub domain. Now a sub domain is still going to allow you to actually post on Facebook through your normal domain because sub domains can of course be the recognized as something that's separate. It's a subsidiary of your actual website. So what a subdomain basically means is when you type in something like go dot, Zack dash Miller calm. Normally, that's going to drive you to a different page because that go dot. And if we just even type that in, you're going to see that it redirects to a way different sales page.

Then if we were just to do Zack dash Miller calm and of course that redirects you to more of a website type homepage, not a squeeze or a sales page, see how there's multiple things you can do all types of links to click a video etc. So, what you're going to do is actually come over to tools, click on that, and you're going to go into domain manager, you'll end up right here. And what you're going to want to do is click here to go through the instructions. The reason why I'm not going to walk through with you exact steps that you're going to need to take is because two big reasons. Number one, click magic has depreciated. One of its three normal methods that you use to create a tracking domain or sub domain whichever you choose.

You can dedicate an entire website to being a tracking URL or you can dedicate you know your normal website with you know, what I have for mine is track dot Zack dash Miller. And for me you know I have go track support all of those are subdomains that all do different things inside my whole website. but inside they depreciated one of the three methods that you use to actually set this up. And number two, you are actually going to be using a different host than I probably have. You may be using CloudFlare. And you probably will if you use Click Funnels, like I suggest, or you may end up using Hostgator name cheap, there's all types of places.

So what you're going to do before you even add that domain in here, and when you do, it'll look just like this. And then you say add that custom domain and it'll come in here and you'll put it as a redirect rather than a cloak. You don't really want it to be cloaked per se because the cloaking is going to take a little bit more time to read around. Correct. And because of the way the tracking links are set up inside here, that tracking links gonna pop over very quickly over to the actual sales page URL. You only use this if you're like an affiliate again, and you want to cloak these IDs from the get go that you have, you know, affiliate intentions, should I say that you're kind of like a paid sponsor in a sense.

Now, once you click into that little help section over here, that help article, let me pull it up for you again. So you can see, you just click your start here. It's going to redirect you to this FAQ. And again, there's one of three methods that you can actually use to set this up. And the main way now is of course by using the sea named DNS records. And that's what I'm going to quickly show you just as an overview, but if you have GoDaddy Namecheap, or any of those places, then where you're going to end up doing is changing those see name records that are registered inside.

And you'll be able to, again, redirect a portion of your domain as to click magic, which will then redirect it. It's kind of like a big circle, which will then redirect to the link that you actually want it to go to, which allows this link the tracker to be posted to social media. And you know, as well AWeber get response recently, they've been crashing down. A lot of my students have even talked about this, where click magic is not being accepted as a tracking URL, you have to have your own custom tracking link. The reason being one or two bad apples or seeds out of 810 hundred thousand user base for click magic, one of them just happened to use their click magic link. That was a default standard and they did some bad things that probably span someone.

So whoever said will ban that entire domain so anyone that uses it could potentially get banned or they'll get warning So you need to set up a tracking domain, if you're even going to be doing emailing and putting that tracking link inside your AWeber. Which of course, if you're an affiliate, then you do have to do that because it has to redirect, right? You got to know how much you're even getting working or how much you're converting. So step by step, again, whether you have named cheap GoDaddy, cPanel, plus CloudFlare, any of these it's going to walk you through and let me tell you, each one, it follows a very similar step, and then it just kind of branches over a little bit. The reason being, every website is set up a little different, where you may go, and I'm going to show you, Hey, I have cPanel over here.

So what am I going to do for cPanel? Well, I'm going to look up the DNS records, right. So the DNS records are just basically saying, What am I going to do for my for my redirects when it because every domain is hosted technically by an IP address. And so you know, here's an IP address, for example. And that IP address is actually what serves the domain. And then it masks that IP address with, hey, here's what the domain name is.

So we're changing this up by just simply going into advanced zone editor. And that's gonna allow us to go in select different things. Say I go into Zack dash Miller. Again, I get to add all types of records inside of here, as you can see, so I've got a few setup, one for male, one for my local host, all of these records, alright, they're gonna walk you through what you need to type in for each one. So if I was using cPanel, I would open this up, just go through, follow the instructions. Again, they're pretty to the point, as you can see, and then go through tests, make sure that you did everything right.

So Let's imagine that I've added all my records in here that's all set up that's good. So we're going to do is then go back into tools domain manager. Now we can add inside our track dot Zack dash Miller COMM And it'll add it in right here. Once you have that, go back into your links. Now, you're going to have a few options, of course, when you want to edit, just click on the pencil and that's going to let you go through and choose from here. Hey, do I want that click magic forward slash my username or my sub domain and you want to choose your sub domain for all of these.

And this naturally is made a default through your account settings. Again, it's just asking you those defaults of you know, hey, like we went through in that previous video. What are the the defaults We want for these advanced actions do we want to flag abusers do we don't want to flag bots? Do we want to flag servers, yes, all these, but not anonymous users. So once you have that set up, again, you can select it here, go back down, save those changes. And you're all set.

And just like that, you can set up your own domain. And I'm going to come over here in CloudFlare. And just give you an idea of how it works over here as well because I have actually CloudFlare is kind of like my backup if I go under and have any DDoS attacks. But right back here, you can see I have it pointing to a specific hostname here. And if I actually sorry, if I go through, copy this and just quickly search for five zero there. We're going to go that's the a record that I was adding in as a CloudFlare step.

So it's pretty much the same. I'm doing it inside Hostgator I'm doing it inside CloudFlare it's just different ways in different places that you enter these details in. Inside cPanel, it's a little bit more manual, you fill everything out, inside CloudFlare it's more of like point and click, and you can come up here and just add those records in pretty quick and easy. So that's how I go through and add sub domains again, as long as you follow these instructions. When you go under the Tools, domain manager, and you just click on that start here article, it's going to walk you through every portion of setting up your own custom sub domain, or tracking domain, you can use the entire domain by itself. Maybe it's you know, your name tracking, or it could be just tracking dot, your website, whatever you want to do.

The options are available for you by just going through and getting your help right there and selecting what path you'd like to take, hey, I have plus I have cPanel. I have GoDaddy name, cheap all these different sources. Whatever it is, it'll walk you through step by step in getting it set up, which is highly, highly recommended. I'm going to say that just by the final and third time for social media for AWeber, for get response, all of those places are basically starting to go into the future, banning these, you know, tracking links from generalistic domains, just like bit l wise and things like that. They're starting to count that sometimes as towards your spam score, because these things have been abused in the past, but what has not been abused is your own personal website or sub domain. And of course, that will attach itself to an IP address from where you send your emails from where you post to your account from where that website is even hosted that IP addresses finable they'll see this they'll start attaching that and you'll increase your credibility which allows you to be seen more inside the search engines and providers.
