DESCRIPTION: 
Once you have identified the spine of the scapula and can trace it along the back of your shoulder, then you can perform the release by:Part 1: 

Start on the outer aspect
Grasp it by putting your middle finger on the undersurface of it and your index finger on the upper surface of it
Move it up and down towards where it feels more comfortable
Hold for 15-30 seconds
Repeat until you've covered the whole surface of the spine of the scapula or the parts you can reach

Part 2: 

Place your finger pads on top of the spine of the scapulae
Drag the skin as far as you can in all directions around it
Hold for a few seconds when you have stretched it as far as it will go
Repeat until you've gone as far as you can go

Repeat on the other side. Recheck your baseline evaluation to see if things have changed. Once you feel ready, move on to the next step.
