Hi there. Now see this is a single sided PCB and whenever we create a single sided PCB, we many times used to want to solder it or create the PCB completely at our home using the eating solution and printing and doing all those things, we can also carry out this operation for a prototype PCB. So generally the procedure is very simple, we need to print out the layout on to a particular photo paper you choose photo paper typically the same photo paper which we use for printing our photographs. So choose the a4 size for the paper and then use a laser printer. So what happens is when we print it using laser printer onto a photo paper what happens is that toner in the laser gets engraved onto the or gets printed onto the photo paper. Now the toner gets printed due to the heat generated inside of the printer.

Next, what you have to do is you have to place that photo paper onto your PCB And then use a hot iron to press it from the top side so that the toner again gets heated. And now it gets transferred from paper onto the PCB. Many of you know about this thing, if you don't know, you can always message me to know more about these things that's not part of this course. Anyway, it's a detailed operation, you just Google it and you will find it. We'll see how we can create a printout of our PPD. How we can create a printout of our layout for doing this single sided operation.

Before that, make sure you check your PCB correctly. If needed, you may also want to modify the distances of the tracks or if needed, you can also modify the track sizes as needed. To take the print out, it's very clear that you have to go to File and print option. But what happens by default is that whenever you choose Print option, the entire PCB wants to get printed. Like that. We don't want that if I have to create a single sided PCB, I want only the blue tracks, and this holes, the component holes.

I don't want the silkscreen. So for that go to the View and layer settings. Here, almost all the layers are visible. So what you need to do is go on removing those layers which you don't want. For example, I don't want top layer. I don't want and routed area.

I don't want t names. I don't want to be names. I don't want t values. I don't want to be values. I don't want this or these origins, place and replace. All that remains now are those symbols.

So just go on removing them one after another dimensions we need. So just keep it wires we don't need pads we need. So let's see the origin. So those are the layers of the symbols and that symbol. Click on OK Make sure you know what you have made or what you have unchecked. Now this is ready for printing.

Now go to the File menu, choose the print, if you have a print to PDF with very good, you may better print it off to a PDF file before printing directly from laser. Otherwise you can also print it directly. So, these are all my printers available. Make sure the scale factor has to be only one It shouldn't be anything else. As per your requirement, you may or may not want to mirror your PCB. Generally if you are generating a single sided PCB with the method that I have shown, then there is no need to mirror it because anyways, the piece would be flipped, then you are going to use the time.

So just choose the scale factor being one and click on OK. If it's print to PDF, it will pop up a window to save the PDF file. Let's save it if it's directly printer or directly given to the printer, then the printer below Print page. Let's see. So that's the PCB. You can not directly print it, if needed, you can further do some experimentation to remove the soul as well as remove some tracks which are seen here, unchecked, and so on.

So, that's for about printing the particular layout that's watching this video.
