Hello there, in our last session what we did was we created a very nice layout for our power supply design. Now but we need to understand what all other things are here. So there is some license here then we can see some big board size or some outline is created over here. And we also need to understand some basics about how we are moving the parts. So first thing is in the toolbar, just type gritch it will open how your grid set so either you can make it on there it looks like this and which helps in placing the components I personally prefer to keep the grid off and this is the smart size of the grid in mil smil stands for thousands of an inch. You can also change the dimension to be mm or inch but Mills is a standard one And you can also if needed, take the grid in dots like that.

So the dotter grid would look like this. Anyway, I don't like the grid, so I just usually keep it off. Now what we need to do is we need to first clear out some unnecessary things like I don't need this license over here, just type delete, and you can delete this one. I also don't want this frame, so I'll just delete it with the Delete tool. And then I will create a frame of my own for this particular PC. Now to do that, what we need to simply do is we need to take a tool called track sorry this, let's search for the So there is a route like insert off route refer to draw the dimensions of our expectation or our need, let's just take a wire tool, but before placing any wire, just select the layer to be the 20 which is the dimensions layer and then just start drawing it like this will explain everything one by one, what is the layer and everything just for now, I just want you to quickly get started with the PC.

So this layer means nothing but this is the dimension of our PCB. So there is no copper traces or anything in the dimension layer. So we have created a dimension of our PCB And this is the outline of PCB. Next what we need to do is we need to route all the tracks as we have discussed initially itself that this is going to be a single sided PCB. Now to do the routing we need this route through can be selected here, or can be selected by typing route. Now when you took the route tool, you can select the built again it is in the mills, which is thousandths of an inch.

So 2025 30 is a good size pick size which is good for creating our handmade PCB also. And this is where you can select the layer. So for now, let's select the bottom layer. And verse 25. You can also keep it say 30 if needed, and then start routing it. So while routing, just click on our drill hole, and then click on another one, the track is placed just leave the mouse.

Now click on here. Then here, here. Now here here Now here now likewise connects all the components, the connections are given for your health, you just need to follow the given connections on the tracks that appear. As you can see, usually we avoid a sharp 90 degree turn. So instead of that what we take is a 45 degree turn and Eagle provides us with a readily available 45 degree turn. Let's see.

Then this is the ground pin. And this is the no this is a transformer connections I want one going here another one going at that point. So here I can't place it from copper. I need to find a way to do which. So PCB designing is science and art at the same time, because you need to be very careful of how and from here you can route your PCBs. Many people are also curious on how the tracks appear on their PCBs in terms of looks.

So if I replace that car track, then it's difficult for me to take this time, so I'll do what and just control search. Either you can use control search, or to delete a track. What you can do is select a tool called rip up, rip up, not delete rip up. Now I ripped up all the tracks. And now I'll first place this one which is going here. Then I'll place this one.

Alright, it's easier to see. So that's it. We have created our first single sided PCB With power supply, with very minimum knowledge of how Eagle actually works, and that's exactly what I want you to do. You don't need to know the software completely to get started with designing, and we should be learning how the software works and all the features on the go step by step as we create them. I hope you'll enjoy doing this exercise. Try to do it in number of different ways.

Like it's a horizontal layout, try to make a vertical layout, try to make a square layout and so on. That's watching this video. Happy learning
