Well, we've talked about a lot of things to date on this topic of communicating change. We've looked at habits that your organization has formed over the years, talked about some basic essential principles for communicating change, done an in depth look at how communication is really complicated. we outlined what needs to get communicated when we've talked about who needs to own communication. We've talked about using a variety of different mediums and the pros and cons of those things, shared some helpful communication tools and we've just looked at a helpful communication planning framework. I'd like you to find this worksheet that has communicating change assessment, because I'd like you to simply and honestly assess how good a job you and your organization is doing in communicating change. Now the assessment has got five different statements distinguishing change information from day to day information.

Do we have the communication Trinity owning and fulfilling their obligation around communication? are we setting the supervisors up for success so that they can have the face to face conversations about the change that are so critical to ensuring work gets done differently. Project is successful at all the local work areas. We're using one page talking notes as the most commonly utilized communication tool across your organization, and we're being more planful. And we regularly assess the effectiveness of our communication efforts. So those would be five themes that we've talked about here.

And what I'd like you to do is to score honestly assess on a scale of one to five one means never five means we're brilliant, we're great at this, run the numbers and come up with a total at the bottom. And that total raw score of something out of 25 then gets multiplied by four, and you'll come up with a percentage. So of course the question is, do you like your score, and if your score is 80% on higher IQs Say brilliant, you're doing a great job of communicating change. If you came up with a result between 40 and 70, or 75, you're like many organizations that I work with are doing some good things. And we just need to get better. And we need to be more diligent and keep things going.

And if your organization is under 35, or 40, less than that you've got some real work to do. One of the challenges that you may have to address is, is your organization and are the leaders in the organization serious about communicating change? Do they really want to do a better job, because if there's no desire to improve the communication, if they think simply sending memos and emails is enough, you're not going to get any traction. So there's going to be a desire to get better at communicating change. If that desire exists. Then you've got some work in front of you and you can share all that These ideas that we've talked about, and simply respond to this question.

What are you going to do to communicate, change using those ideas in your organization? One last time, find this action plan and make a note to yourself, how are you going to get better at communicating change, for your own project for your own group for your own team, your own division, perhaps for your whole organization. And that's it. I want to thank you very much for joining me in this course. A couple things I'd like you to remember that action plan that you've been very intentional about making some notes on throughout our time together. I want you to keep that close.

Find a way to weave it into your game plan for tomorrow and next week and the week after that. really a good idea is to take that action plan that you've outlined and talk it through over coffee with somebody, maybe it's somebody else on your project team, start to share some of these ideas and get committed to getting better at communicating change the article that I shared, you can download these, enjoy it.
