Hello, everyone, and welcome to the bonus lecture, we are finally at the end of the course. And it has been such a journey for me creating the conscious drawing techniques course from the beginning, it has taken 12 months pretty much from when I started having the idea of creating an online course to actually finishing and all I have left to do is upload this video. So I'm really, really excited to share this with you. And it's been such a journey for me in such a process. I didn't realize when I first started, how I would be initiated into my own processes so much and initiated into my own thoughts around drawing and feelings around worrying and it's been a really surprising journey for me. So when I started to make this course I firstly sat down and started reading a list of all the things that I wanted to do and the exercises that I wanted to create.

And you know how earlier I was talking about the whole body? Yes. Something inside me was a whole body no to this list. And I didn't really understand what was going on at the time. So I stopped everything that I was doing. And I went out into my backyard.

And I just sat there and I drew what was in front of me, which is this tree stump and I while I was just sitting there drawing this random tree stump, that's when the idea for the course really came to fruition. And I realized that my own drawing journey throughout the years has become such a spiritual practice in its own way. And I really wanted to communicate that with people rather than just going through the standard drawing exercises that really, let's face it, you can learn anywhere. Drawing has been taught in a very similar way for many years and I have learnt drawing I as I've said before, I was not a natural artist and I taught myself how to draw. I've also had some amazing drawing teachers throughout the years, and I've been really inspired by other people, and the things that I have learned along the way.

What I have also learned along the way, is the part that is my own process. And for me, drawing is such a grounding experience every time I come back to drawing and start doing drawings for my own purposes, that's when I really feel the most grounded and the most connected to my artistic practice. And there have been phases throughout my life where I've become really disconnected from my artistic self and I haven't drawn for a couple of years at a time and every time I come back to this process I've discovered further and further how drawing can be amended meditative practice, it can be, as I said, a grounding experience. And it can really open up our creative flow. And I know that when I'm living in my creative flow, and I'm connected to my drawing self and my artistic self, things happen to me a lot easier.

And I find opportunities where I didn't know they were going to be. And the world around me starts to open up when I'm in my creative flow, sorry, I wanted to create a course that had all of this in it. Yes, it had the technical and the practical skills that I have learned throughout drawing and I didn't look at any textbooks I made sure that I just used the information that really helped me for example, the positive and negative space and learning about seeing all the elements and that kind of thing. All of those practical skills, shadow and light. I wanted to combine them with The spiritual aspect of drawing that I have discovered over the years and what I have been most surprised about as I've been doing this course and creating this course is because I'm teaching about living from your heart space and talking about feeling into the process and all of these things every time I tried to go against my own teachings, and I thought, oh, okay, I have to make this video today, or I have to do this story today.

Even if I didn't feel like it, something would get in the way, I would have a technical glitch, the camera wouldn't work or it wouldn't record for some reason or something would happen. And so every single time I started leaving out of my floor and not listening to what my heart wanted to do that day, it wouldn't work and it wouldn't flow for me. And the more that I felt into each day, what I wanted to do, the more this process flowed for me, so I encourage you to Keep feeling into your own process. And you may have said to yourself, I want to draw each day. And therefore each day you want to feel into what do you feel like drawing that day? What medium Do you feel like using that day.

And if you're drawing each week, you know, stick to your process and stick to the commitment that you want to make that you want to make. But also learn to find that balance between what you feel like doing and what you should be doing. So I really don't like the word should I think that when we're living from the word should and we're doing things that we should be doing, we end up getting ourselves out of our flow a little bit. So always just think, what do I want to do today? What do I feel like doing? Where does my creative practice want to take me?

And I'm really excited about connecting with you all and learning about where this course is taking you and what creative things are coming out of this for you as well. In this course, we've spoken about About a wicking from two dimensional images. And the other day, I was doing a drawing of some gum nuts. It's spring here in Melbourne, it's really beautiful. And so I decided to draw some gum nuts that I have had for a little while. And when we're starting to draw in 3d, and we're wanting to transfer all of the skills that we have learned in this course, to drawing three dimensionally, it really is exactly the same thing.

Looking at these gum nuts, I was really delving into the proportion and the shape and looking at the spaces in between so that I could get the initial drawing down. And I was really then paying attention to texture and tone, and layering on top of this, and just losing myself in the detail, as I have spoken about doing throughout this course. And all of the techniques that I have taught in this course, are transferable to that three dimensional realm. So What I recommend when you're starting to transfer 3d, start off by drawing something exactly the same size. So like the gun nuts, I have drawn them at a scale of one to one, or in real size. So start by working with that.

And then maybe practice drawing something that's really small and making really large, find a tiny leaf maybe and drew a massive picture of a leaf that could help you see things in more detail again, and work out three dimensional proportions in different sizes. Then you can also reverse the effect and draw something really large like a tree and get a tiny piece of paper and draw it on a really tiny scale and see what resonates with you when you're starting to draw three dimensionally as well. I'm also a really big believer in the basics. And when we learn to master the basics, we really do become masters and they become the advanced techniques. So I encourage you to come back and reflect back on this course in a few weeks. In six to 12 months depending on your own timeframes and what your process is, but come back and listen to the information again and see if you hear different parts and see if different things resonate with you at the time and keep delving into those basics because those basics will become your master techniques.

So remember, always feel into what you want to do each day. Take the time to delve into the detail, enjoy the process along the way. If you're feeling that whole body No, don't do it. If you're feeling that whole body. Yes, go for it, and just do whatever you want to do creatively. And you will always win that way you will always be learning and you will always be having fun if you're following that whole body.

Yes. I look forward to connecting with you all online. And I'm really excited to see what you have created and where you're going to take these teachings and these learnings as well. Thank you so much again from the bottom by heart, I love you all. Happy drawing. Bye for now.
