Hello and welcome this is Dina Murray and welcome to module four of the client attraction zone to getting clients with confidence program. And as usual, let me first check in with you and see how you are doing. What awareness. He gets doing module three materializations all our hearts came up for you. How much freer do you feel? How much more confident Today we are looking at self care and the important role it plays in our success.

For this module, you also need your self care Manifesto. Okay, then let's start. As Elizabeth Gilbert says, within each of us, he lives a sweet, defenseless creature in need of a little tenderness. I read this article by her In on oprah.com, about what taking care of yourself really means, and I would like to read it to you, as it demonstrates the concept of self care really well. She wrote. I was recently speaking at a church event in the Midwest, when a woman in the audience stood to ask a question.

Before she even opened her mouth. I got a vibe of this person. And that vibe was neglect. I don't mean to say that she wasn't tending to a beauty regimen. Honestly, who cares? I mean, this woman just looked neglected the way and and loved animal look.

After years of disregard she meant it stress and loneliness. And then she asked a question and she will really broke my heart. She said, I don't understand what people mean when they say we supposed to love ourselves. She said she began to cry. How do I do that? She stared at me with desperation in her eyes.

And I saw it again. Oh my gosh, I'm getting emotional. The neglected animal that lives with inner. So I said I need to start taking care of your animal. She looked confused. So are we done?

You need to stop thinking of yourself as a human being and start treating yourself like the traumatized little animal you are. How could she see she was still puzzled. So I broke it down further. Had you ever seen a frightened dog in a cage? I to rescue shelter. She nodded.

Pretend you've just adopted that dog from a kill shelter. You don't know anything about this animals history. And you don't need to know. You can see she has been abused. And she's afraid of being abandoned or hurt a guy. Now imagine this is your first night home alone with that dog?

And she's trembling in fear. How would you treat her? Would you scream at her and tell her she's an idiot? Would you kick her? Would you lock her in a dark room all alone? Would you starve her or later binge eat a bunch of garbage?

Would you let her stay in an environment where other dogs attacker every day? No, say the woman I would take care of her ah I said, so you do know how to love an animal. You would offer her a warm and safe bed, right? healthy food, cozy environment, walks in the sunshine, fresh air and clean water. Careful socialization with other animals, nice ones that don't bite, naps, tenderness, affection, play time, and lots of patience. That's how you love an animal.

But that's an animal she said. It's easy to love an animal. Well, that's good news because you're an animal, too. Just to let you know in the transcript is a link to read more if you would like to do that. I try to never I try never to forget three words. The great Cole Porter out We're merely animals.

Hundreds of thousands of years before we developed our complications and neurosis. We were just another warm blooded lifeform trying to survive in a difficult world. Within, forget that fact, or when we forget that fact, we suck. We get trapped in the shame and blame of our human minds and neglect the soft animal of your body, as we Oliver so beautifully calls it. But what makes us think we're so special that we alone, unlike any other animal on earth, do not deserve loving care. Sometimes the only way I can pull myself on the age of terror of self hatred is to ask myself, how does my animal feel right now?

Can I notice my racing heart by traveling Hands, my shortened breath might not stomach my shaky legs, my clenched jaw. And I say, this is no way for an animal to live. I asked my animal, what would make her feel better? A walk in the sunlight, a friendly voice, a treat a nap. Well, animal teaches me how to take care of her. And she shows me how to take care for myself, how to care for myself.

That night I say to the naked woman, it's time for you to adopt yourself. God gave you stewardship over one clear and vulnerable animal yourself. Can you embrace that responsibility? Maybe she said, I hope she can. And I hope the same for all of us. We can rescue ourselves from the kill shelter and give ourselves the loving home.

We've earned just by virtue of being alive. Okay back to me, I love this. This is self love taking care of ourselves granting ourselves that right and not to see it as a privilege. It also reminds me of the story of the oxygen mask when you get onto an aircraft taking a flight somewhere as the aircraft taxis down the runway before taking off, the arrow stays explains that in case of a sudden loss of Kevin Kevin, Kevin pressure and oxygen mask will automatically drop down above you to put over your face and she stresses to first put that marks over your face. before you attempt to help someone else, because if you don't, you won't be able to do so. So take care of yourself first, and then you are emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically able to take care of everybody else around you.

Actually, a funny story about this oxygen mask metaphor is that I got the download for it. a while after that, I went to an event, and the speaker told the same story. I thought, hey, guess my story. How do you know about that? just shows how we download what we need. Anyway, coming back to self care, this is something close to my heart, specifically because I'm not very good at that.

And now I'm consciously putting in an effort to take care of myself. When you take care of yourself, you are more grounded and more focused, more present and able to step back and see what is going on. You are also more open to access your intuition. If you do not take care of yourself, then you will tend to be more scattered, easily feel more overwhelmed, get triggered more easily. temper show less patient and you find yourself at the effect of the world around you to be lost in the details and cannot see the forest from the trees. So here's an exercise for you in your workbook on page 11.

If you could imagine a continuum with one on the one aim meaning totally scattered and 10 on the other meaning fully grounded. Where do you see yourself? And what is your evidence for saying so? Pause the video for a moment and complete the question. So how do we incorporate self care? First of all, it's to have the willingness to give yourself to give to yourself in the same way to give to others.

To say no to shoes, do have boundaries. Then it is to practice discipline, taking care of your mental and physical well being. And that takes courage is to do what you have to do to get into your body and get grounded. The question to yourself, I'm referring to Elizabeth Gilbert's asking herself, what is my animal need right now? Where do you cut back? Where do you say no What does not require your full attention right now?

The aim of it is to have that fulfilling sense of well being and the intention to add experiences that feed your soul and bring out the best in you. Become a feel good detective, not just for yourself, but also for your clients and of course, your loved ones. The obvious ways to practice loving self care are to have enough sleep, drink enough good water, eat nutritious food, exercise, stretch, walk, whatever takes your fancy meditate and tear octane more wise and there are a myriad ways I can or just for you. Listen to music sets tall doing nothing This is really difficult for me. read or watch a movie, brief. journaling.

Julia Cameron of the artist way talks about doing your morning pages. Just do a download or whatever is going on in your mind. Go for that massage or facial, do a class, art, dance, yoga, getting something beautiful for yourself, gardening, etc. By practicing self care, you tell yourself that you are worth taking care of. So take care of your animal. With this new awareness, how does wood taking care of yourself add to your new story and your confidence in getting clients?

How does or would this impact on your energy putting yourself in your clients position? Look at you now. What do they see? How much more would they work with you? Or how much more would you work with you? Would you trust you?

Pause the video now and answer this question. Okay, how was that for you? What did you become aware of? What realizations are harder questions, writing down. Your bonus for today is your self care manifester giving you ideas and to plan and measure your self care and how it impacts on your life. Your home play for module four is to work with yourself good manifester, and make time to take care of you every day.

Continue with the embodying of superpowers one and two then revisit and expand on your story of before, to see if there was anything you missed. That you would want to create the opposite of in the new story of what you want and who you want to be. Knowing what you know now, and really you own your story to yourself. See it, feel it, embody it. Before we go, what are you taking away and see you in the next module. Go now and have fun.

Take care of your animal.
