Hello and welcome to this section. In this section we are going to use the local PC as well as VirtualBox and some virtual machines in order to emulate a network environment. And to be more precise, I'm going to use the Arista virtual machine which is available for free for download. And also, as I said, VirtualBox, which is again free to download, so you don't have to worry about paying for any kind of additional software or anything of the sort. We are actually going to use a single virtual machine there is a virtual machine, but we are going to create three virtual machines inside VirtualBox in order to have three network devices being emulated. Of course, we will connect our local PC to each of these devices and then perform various tasks by running our Python scripts.
By the way, there are some prerequisites for this section. You should have at least four gigabytes of RAM available to spare because the To restore virtual machines will require at least one gigabyte of RAM for running. And also you should have CCNA level network knowledge like IP SSH telnet serialized switching in order to understand the concepts and the actions performed within this section. Okay, so having that said I will see you in the next lecture where we are going to start building our network environment by first downloading and installing VirtualBox.
