Why Email Marketing Is A Great Business Strategy

Welcome, and in this tutorial, we're going to talk about email marketing and why it's important. So why would you want to do email marketing as opposed to some more traditional ad buying? Well, if you look at the way that ad buying is traditionally done, you see that most people will tell you to just buy the ad and send that person send that lead directly to an affiliate offer. Okay, so that's one way to do it. Another way to do it, is to buy an ad, send that person to a sales page, okay, so someone sees your ad, they click on it, they go to a sales page that you've created, which helps with the conversions that helps with getting them to buy and then you send them to the affiliate offer, so you're essentially pre selling them on the sales page. So those are two ways to do it.

But if you think about long term success, you need to remember that long term success takes a firm foundation. Okay? So what I mean by this is that when you look at this model, and this is a profitable model, and people have made money with this, but when you look at this model, the one flaw is that every time you need to make money, you've got to spend money. Okay? So every time you need to make money, you've got to spend money on an ad. And then you can send someone to an affiliate offer or to a sales page.

So the third way to do it is to buy an ad. Send someone to a squeeze page, which is essentially a lead capture page, where they can enter their name and email and then send them to the affiliate offer once they've entered their name and email. So what this does is, first of all, it gets the lead. Okay, when you get the lead, that means that You can continue to email and promote other offers to this person over and over again in the future. Okay, it also sends them to the affiliate offer after you get the lead, which gives them the opportunity to buy right into so you can make your money back on the ad in real time. But now you've got this person you can market to over and over and over.

The good thing about this is you spend the money on the ad once and now you've created a database you've created a list that you can continue to market to Okay, so that's why we want to do email marketing, we want to capture the lead first, then send them to the affiliate offer, and then continue to follow up with email, promoting other offers and delivering great content and building a relationship with our list. So now that you have the lead, you can mark it over and over for the one time price to the ad Okay, so what this is going to Do it's going to give you a higher ROI, so a higher return on investment. And it's also going to give you asset value, okay? Because this database that you're going to have is something that is an asset, it's tangible, okay? Something you can make money with continually into the future, it will continue to pay you and you've only had to invest in at once and if you ever decide to sell your business, then you can sell your list as well.

Okay, so there's a couple of reasons why you want to do email marketing. These are the big ones higher ROI and asset value. And then in the next few videos, we're going to show you exactly how to get down to the nitty gritty and how to do some great emails. In the next video, we're going to talk about the basics of email marketing. I'm gonna show you the blueprint, and then we're going to go in and actually dive into each step.
