Practice h Heart Heart hearing and identifying the limiting belief red flags. Okay coach, see if you can identify at least five indicators of limiting beliefs in the following dialog between a client and a coach. I was really angry at Tom at work last week. He seemed to always be busy when I need to ask for his advice about my new customer. This has become a real problem for me because I don't know what to do. I don't think he respects me.

I have talked to him about it, but it is my opinion that he is too lazy to get involved. I think he should be available when needed. To talk because he is my boss. Stop the video here and see how many red flags you can find. Here are the results with the limiting belief red flags underlined. These are potential areas to mirror back to the client, explore further or challenge or to invite greater awareness.

How might you deepen the conversation with this client to start on the road to greater awareness. Of course, you will not want to address every red flag in the dialogue at one time. We've packed a lot in there. However, you might choose one to start with. Here are some examples of ways to support your client, or possible responses to red flags. So the client says, I was really angry at Tom at work last week.

The coach might ask, What are you telling yourself when you think that this will expose the belief statement? He seems to always be busy when I need to ask for his advice. The coach might challenge this absolute statement and say, always, is that really true? This has become a real problem for me because I don't know what to do. The coach might explore with the client the statement, I don't know what to do. Helping to move the client forward, the coach might ask What can be some options for you?

Finding forward looking options or choices, then the client is no longer stuck and focusing on the problem. It is my opinion that he is too lazy. The coach can gently challenge that opinion. The coach might ask, What evidence do you have that he's not lazy? Or when have you observed him really being on the ball? I think he should be available when I need to talk.

We hear that judgment should and the coach might challenge it by asking something like how useful is it for him to always be available for talking Being proactive, the coach might ask what might make it more likely that he has time for you to talk? What additional note is useful to ask questions that move the client forward, rather than staying stuck in analysis of the belief statement. Often simply focusing the client on some proactive step or considering options is enough to shift a limiting belief. Here is a quote that speaks to having congruence in our lives. We can support congruence in our clients lives when we support awareness of their thoughts, words and actions. Mahatma Gandhi said, happiness is when what you think what you say, and what you do.

Are you harmony looking for patterns. When there are patterns involved, we may want to take a closer look. looking for patterns is another way to demonstrate the ancient heart hearing and identifying the coaching competency of active listening helps to support our efforts. Using active listening, we consciously look for patterns. Why is it that patterns show up over and over in our clients lives, especially in relationships? It is as if there is some sort of agreement with ourselves to keep experiencing challenges until we move past them.

We have many opportunities. So for example, if we still have issues with someone in the past, a similar challenge will occur with another or several others. for new opportunities to resolve and any deep exploration of a current belief will reflect back to an earlier one. However, there is no need to dig up the past as we want the client to move forward not being stuck in past stories to us. as coaches we can focus on current judgments, beliefs and issues, knowing that past issues and relationships will be healed because they are representative in the present situations. patterns can be found in hearing or noticing the following synchronicity what is happening in conjunction with other situations.

Attraction, what is the client attracting in his or her life right now and opportunity, what opportunities are available with what we are noticing or hearing in the present? How do we perform our community with h hearing to unlock the daughter, clearly activate the chemical principle of compassion. The discipline and sacred practice of full compassion on the house the courage to listen deeply, creating a safe space for the client to grow.
