It's amazing to see you exploring the know and making your way down the hill looking like a stylish snowboarder. Up until now, we've really been using the edge to help us control our speed. But here we're going to play with the turn size and shape depending on the train we're on to really help us get control of that speed. And it just helps that understanding and knowledge of our snowboarding. So I like to call that our snowboard IQ. So here guys, if we're on a flat Malou green run, and I'm making some really small closed off turns to really turning across that full length.
Whoo, my speed is going to be super slow. I'm always going to be a walking pace there. And if we're trying to do that on a flat spot, man, we're just going to lose all our momentum and have to unstrap and skate which sucks. So on those male greens, we want to think about opening the turn shape up a little bit and using wider, more open turns to really carry that speed and momentum. However, if I'm on a steeper bluer black run, and I'm doing really wide open turns, my speeds gonna get out of hand there and it's gonna be pretty scary gets that heart going. So we really want to think about using that smaller, more closed off turn shape on those steeper runs, fail, press control that speed and keep it manageable the whole way as we're writing down the hill.
