Hello, everybody, welcome back to the second dashboard. In this video, we will see how to get the average salary based on the countries that we have listed over here. And if there are errors, how to eliminate them, I will be using the formula averages that is equals to average or averages based on a condition. First is the range. Currently, we use the base data as 2012. So I'll go to the 2012 sheet and we'll be selecting the entire range where the countries are.
That should be the age column. So we'll select the data from column H. I'm going to press f4 to freeze it. And as we can see in the formula bar, the H and the two agents to 7062 has been froze by applying the dollar sign to them. And once done, I'll put in the comma to separate before a second category, that is criteria criteria is actually on the current sheet. So I'll go back The actual sheet which in turn will show the sheet name as we have navigated from one sheet with the other, we can simply use the backspace to delete it. But even after deleting if we select any parameter, it will always capture the sheet name and the reference group.
Now if you don't want it, we can delete it after the selection but still the formula will work as it is. But do remember do not delete any other references apart from the current sheet. Okay, comma. Now comes the average range. The average range is based on the selection I've made. For example, if India is my selection, what it should be using as a base for average, that is the same value that is from 2012.
It has to capture the entire converted salary. So we will be selecting the entire e column and freezing it as well because that also has to be constant throughout the formula. Once done, we'll close the bracket and press enter. There it is. Once done, drag it down and we'll get the relevant answer. So we can see for India The average salary is displayed here.
