Okay, in this section we are going to do a really super quick overview of the difference between tarot cards or tarot cards, whichever way you want to pronounce it and Oracle cards, because they are both forms of divination, but they are both very, very different in their entirety. So, we're going to talk about tarot cards first and tarot cards are really, really interesting I use them quite often. They a lot of people believe that they originated with the ancient Egyptians, but I think the magic around Tarot is that nobody really knows where they came from. There's a lot of stories there's a lot of possibilities where they originated from a lot of people do say that, you know, ancient Egyptian started them and then they died off and then you know, they were found in Italy in the 1440s. And they were actually used as playing cards back in Italy when they first kind of came on the scene.

And the deck is 78 cards total. And with any sort of tarot deck, it's always going to be 78 cards total and it's going to be broken down into 22 Major Arcana cards and then 56 Minor Arcana cards. Now the Major Arcana cards are really the big life lessons in which we all have to kind of go through in a lifetime. It's the Fool's Journey, so to speak. And it's, you know, the Fool's Journey is basically what every great movie originated from. So, the Major Arcana cards are things like karmic influences that, you know, we decided to go through in our life these can be really big events, really big life change.

Changes and there's not much that we can do about those circumstances. Now, the Minor Arcana cards are really everyday kind of the hustle and bustle of life that we all go through, you know, maybe the well was me cards or the fives and you know, maybe the working hard cards and, and all of that. It really is like if you can't tell I am absolutely in love with the Turo. I study it. I love learning about it. The Turo really is you need to have a lot more energy into the Tarot because it does require much more studying a lot more practice a lot more connecting with the deck on a deeper level.

It's I always like to say that like in any sort of reading when you do Tarot Tarot and the cards that you choose, you know when you when you're pulling for reading all the ingredients And when you're doing an Oracle, an Oracle reading the, the messages and the story are really within the cards whereas, you know with Tarot, it's all of the cards incorporated and all the positions where they are. So I love to read and I hope that you guys you know, are definitely interested in learning more about it. So Oracle cards now, Oracle cards can be traced back to the 19th century in France. It kind of died down a little bit during the turn of the century and then really kind of made made its way back back in the 1960s and really have become much more mainstream since then. And with Oracle cards that really is kind of the the creator's vision and there is never any set number of cards in a deck.

You know, there can be 22 cards in a deck, there can be 44, there can be 66 it really doesn't matter. It's really up to the creator of the deck whereas with Tarot, it's always the standard 78 cards. And all of these Oracle cards all have different themes. Some are with angels summer with ancestors summer with goddesses, you know, spirit medicine, it really depends on what you are called to what you know you are drawn to and every single deck really brings different messages and guidance within them. So, I always say that like God, you know, Oracle cards are wonderful, I absolutely love them. And when you are starting out and you're intrigued by you know, divination and all of this kind of stuff, it's always good to start with Oracle because it's really kind it's really easy to you know, blend with the cards and Understand what the cards are trying to you know teach you or guide you to do.

So I always say start with an Oracle deck you know just go to your, you know, a local New Age store and just kind of go to where you're guided to or, you know, Amazon is good as well. There are so many places where you can get really great decks and that's really it. That's the difference between Tarot and Oracle and I will see you in the next section.
