Ah yes, budgeting. I personally like budgeting but most creatives tend to cringe when they hear the word budgeting. budgeting is like putting a film into numbers in terms of how much it could cost, how much it would then cost and how much it costs it. Once the production is over. We first start with the basic budget summary outline. This is where you get the overview of your film costs and other matters.

As you can see, each line correlates to the department whereby each number division helps keep your budgets and departments organized. What do I mean by that? Well, for example, if you have a set number of 1200 for your department number, then all costs under that number will follow with sub numbers almost similar to subheadings, such as this example right here. As you can see 1201 two, etc, etc. The budget outline here is just a quick overview of where your estimated costs will be going, making it easier for both producers and investors to look at it off the fly. Now let's dive deeper into the budget sheet now and into the breakdown by each department and department costs.

As you can see here, this is where you put your comparison numbers in from what you have initially estimated. 200 how you calculate the units in this case, either by lump sum or day as I did in my film, to the actual costs and differences between the numbers. Now, you might be thinking that having a difference column is unnecessary, but any good producer would want to know whether they had overspent or under spent in their budget. So that they can potentially shift money around or keep a lookout at certain departments, which might cause more down the line. Last and certainly not least, we have the expenditure sheet where you would put in all your expenses and track them economy. So this version of mine is county it.
