Now I'm pretty sure if you're a human being, you probably have a ton of ideas in your head that you want to turn into film. So let's begin with the first big question. That is which idea most appeals to you. Note that the key word here is most whether it was an old idea from your childhood days, or something that inspired you while you were walking around town. You get to decide and pick the idea that most appeals to you first. Why?

Well, because if you're going to spend months working on a shot, you want to have a lot of passion for your idea, or you probably get bored and not finish it for starters. So I'm going to give you some time right now to pause the video and think of that one story that you really want to tell. Come back after you're done. And now that you have that story idea, next few questions to ask yourself would be, is this a story for a short film? Is this story idea practical. Now, I'm not referring to only crew resources, which we will get to later, but to money in time resources, basically, where you have the time and the budget to be able to pull it off. So ask yourself these questions, and use that as a guide to pick your story idea, but remember, passion is the most important test that you definitely have. To pass, you've got to love your idea first, before even asking yourself These are the questions
