Hello, it's Lia muster again. And you're now watching module six of interview experts and profit. So in this module, we're going to be talking about dealing with the responses from your experts and arranging your appointments. Because this is all super important when it comes to putting everything together before you carry out your interview. So the first thing I would say is you want to go ahead and set up a spreadsheet to keep track of all your experts. And this is really, really important because you're going to be contacting a lot of people to potentially interview, you're going to need to keep track of them because you don't want to be sending you know, messages and contacting people more than once because it looks really unprofessional and makes you look really bad.

So you just want to set up a simple spreadsheet and keep track of all your experts. And this is exactly what I did. And here's a screenshot of it on the screen. It was really simple. As you can see, I put the expert contacted. I've obviously bled all out just for their sort of privacy.

Some of them didn't come on board. So the expert I contacted the date, I contacted them. And I did two products list building and email marketing. So you'll probably just be doing one product. So you don't probably don't need to have that column. But I needed to know which ones I were contacting them in regards to when they responded, agreed or not agreed, and how I contact them.

So I could keep you could even say on I've got a YouTube message I actually contacted somebody all about on YouTube, which is another way that you can contact them, but you can see all the several different ways that I used and formats. So, you know, it's a really simple spreadsheet. I also color coded it. The ones that agreed, as you can see, I put in green, the ones that you know, hadn't agreed or couldn't do, I put in red, and then I just kept in black, the ones I was waiting responses for. I think it's really good to keep it color coded. It helps you to keep track of them and it's just a really Really simple process to do.

But I'll also be giving you a template for this. So I will give you a template. So you don't even have to put it all together yourself, you can just enter in and I'll have it all templated up for you. So not all the experts are going to say yes, unfortunately, it's the name of the game. Every single person you're going to contact is not always going to say yes, just the way it is. Don't take it to heart.

They are busy people. So you know, Don't take it to heart if they say no, just move on to the next one. That's all you need to do. Just, you know, you've contacted them, you've done your best they haven't said no. Sometimes people you'll be going back and forth for because people want a bit more information. But hopefully if you've put together your message right and you've got everything in there, there should be no reason for any tooing and froing.

So just don't take it heart. Don't be disheartened and move on to the next one. Follow up with them. If they have agreed to an interview. She can send them a follow up and say You know, thank you so much for agreeing, I'm super excited to have you on board. You know, we then you can just say, you know, we now need to look at a time to, you know, get this booked in, but don't pester them to send that one follow up email, tell them you know, we need to arrange this interview and say, you know, when are you free to do it, you know, I can work around you.

But leave it at that. Don't pester them and just wait for them to come back with you. I mean, you can follow up maybe a few days later if you don't hear because they've agreed to do it. And as I said, they do get busy, but just don't keep bombarding them with messages. If you don't hear back straightaway. Always schedule appointments, when it's best for them.

You need to work around them, even if that means getting up in the middle of the night, which is actually what I had to do. I'm based in the UK and a lot of my experts are based in America. So I was often you know, get all sorts of weird and wonderful times but because I wanted to interview them so badly because a lot of the people I actually interviewed are having Be my mentors and people that I really look up to and really value their knowledge and expertise. So I would do anything to get them on board. And that meant doesn't matter what time I get up, even though I've got two young children and I need my sleep, because I got to look after them. I didn't care what time I got up, I just wanted to get them done.

So I think that's really, really important to work to their schedules, because they're the ones that are really busy. I mean, you're busy too. I'm not saying that. But these are experts that you really want to get on board to work around them. Keep all your appointments in a calendar so you don't double booked or forget to contact them. Another super important thing you need to do.

The worst thing you can do is not note down an appointment. Once it's been arranged and you forget to do the interview, that's just going to look super crazy bad and you do not want that. So I just use Google Calendar I also used on my computer, but I also use my phone and I put all my appointments in my iPhone calendar and I set alerts like sometimes a couple of alerts a day I was like Bang, bang, bang. I need to remember that I need to do this I have post it notes around like you're doing this interview on this day anyway that you are familiar with and that will help you keep track of your appointments. You need to do that because you do not want to forget to contact them because that's just, that would be so bad. As I said, they're just put a reminder in your phone, that's always a good thing to do on the day, but also put them on a whiteboard.

If you have them. A lot of people have whiteboards or blackboards, you know, put it somewhere you're going to see it all the time. We'll stick it on your fridge. If you know most people are in their fridge all the time, getting milk, whatever for their cups of tea and coffee, put it somewhere where you're not going to forget them you know anywhere that works for you. And make sure you contact them the day before the interview to confirm they're still okay to go ahead. You know with them being busy, you know the same as you're busy, they they could quite easily forget.

So always contact them the day before in the same way that you contact them initially and just say Hey, Joe, Juliet, whatever their names are. Just want to make sure we're still on for our interview tomorrow. I'm CPC put Excited, let me know if there's anything else you need beforehand. You know, I want to make this as smooth as possible for you just be really helpful and really friendly and ask if there's anything they need, before you go ahead and do the interview, you know, doing all this kind of thing goes a lot, you know, goes a long way. And it's not all about just doing the interview. And that's it.

It's about building relationships, you know, if you're entering initial market that you want to be in, when you want to make money in, you want to, you know, and you're speaking to these experts, keep those relationships going. You know, I speak to a lot of the experts all the time that I interviewed, I've kept a relationship going with them, you know, you know, it's helped me you want to, you don't want to burn any bridges. You want to keep those people on side and you know, just do what you can for them because then they will reciprocate as well. So with that all said, You are now ready to get interviewing. you've logged all your appointments. You've contacted them the day before to remind them and they've come back saying Yep, We'll set to go at this time tomorrow.

You're now all set and ready to get into doing and this is where it gets really exciting and a bit nerve wracking. But um, what's worth doing, it's not a bit nerve racking and doesn't give you butterflies in your tummy. So you're already to get interviewing and we're going to get bang on with the next module. And we're going to talk all about getting ready to interview and actually doing the interview. So see you in the next one.
