Okay, before we go on to subtraction, I just want to take a minute. And I want to make sure that I cover some of this terminology and this this law here. Basically, when when we're adding numbers together on the top number here, this 321 has a name called the origin. And here it is right here. The number that we're adding to it is called the end. And that's right here.
All right, when we get our answer, our answer is called the sum. All right, so I just wanted to introduce this terminology, just in case you hear it, you'll have an idea of what it is. The other thing here I want to mention is the law of commutation. That's an addition. If you look at the examples that I give you here, you'll notice that they all add up to 108. And I can add 3264 12.
That's one away 6432 12. That's one away, or 12 plus 64 plus 32. And that's one away. So the law of commutation means I can take the sum, in this example of these three numbers, and I can add them in any, any way or any order. I want to do it and I'm still going to get the correct answer in this example. 108 All right, I think that'll do it.
Um, we'll see in subtraction.
