Welcome to the third week of the detox your body and mind in 30 days program. You are now halfway to your goal. Congratulations, you should be starting to feel better. At this point you should be experiencing less stress, have more energy and be sleeping better. As a reminder, if you have not completed, we tos action steps, I would encourage you to stop here and go back and do those before moving on. If you're ready to move on, then in week three of the detox your body and mind program, you will be given five more habit changes which build upon the changes you made in the previous two weeks of the program.

In Week Three, you will be removing three more things from your lifestyle while adding two new positive habits. Like the previous weeks, the recommended approach is to implement one change For each of the first five days, they spend the last two days perfecting these changes. However, feel free to use any technique that allows you to successfully master the five habit changes within the week. Are you ready to see what habits you will be working on in week three? Great. So let's begin.

Habit one. Eliminate grains and starch. I know this is a hard one for a lot of people. But grains and starches have become a dominant part of our modern diets. For a long time, people believe that grains and starches were a healthy nutritious source of carbohydrates that should be eaten daily. However, more recent studies have highlighted the dangers of these foods, particularly gluten and the many ways they damage our bodies.

I can't begin to tell you how many people I have treated over the years that feel so much better when they eliminate gluten containing grains, and all grains for that matter from their diet. There is an abundance of research that shows the negative effects of eating grains and starches can have to your health. I could do a whole other program on all the ill effects of grains and starches alone. For the sake of time, I will share just a few with you here. grains and starches can cause unstable blood glucose levels. Grains cause your blood glucose levels to constantly spike and then crash.

This results in your energy levels being extremely unstable and also damages your body's cells and vital organs with inflammation caused by eating these grains. toxic ingredients grains are loaded with dangerous gluten lectins in acidic acid, gluten can cause bloating, diarrhea, stomach and joint pain, while lectins damage your stomach lining, and thetic acids prevents your body from absorbing many of these central nutrients in your foods that your body needs. Eliminating grains from your diet allows you to avoid these toxic ingredients and their harmful effects. However, if you eat grains on a regular basis, this may sound like a huge sacrifice. Fortunately, with the right approach, giving up grains isn't as difficult as it seems. I will give you some helpful tips you can use to make the transition to a grain free diet as easy as possible.

Be aware of the side effects grains contain high levels of carbohydrates. Which are your body's preferred energy source. As a result, you may experience periods of low energy and concentration for the first few days. After giving up grains. There are healthier options to getting the carbohydrates fuel your body needs though. Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables.

Fruits and vegetables are a healthy nutritious source of carbohydrates that you can use to supplement the carbs you lose from ditching grains. Many fruits and vegetables can also be used to create healthy alternatives to your favorite grain based foods. For example, regular rice can be replaced with cauliflower, rice, and spaghetti squash strands can be used as an alternative to regular spaghetti.
