The five habits this week to start detoxing your body in mind in 30 days are to eliminate alcohol, cut out processed foods, avoid the news turned down the lights at night and learning to say no. So we're going to look at each one of these in a little more detail.

Let's speak in with habit number one eliminate alcohol. As you can see here, Kerman has had a little too much to drink. Maybe you are not as bad off as Kermit but Do you enjoy a glass of wine in the evening? If so, you're not alone. However, consuming alcohol is not without risk to your body in mind. The harmful effects of alcohol can increase your risk of anemia.

Alcohol damages the red blood cells that transport oxygen around your body and this can lead to anemia, a condition that causes you to have an abnormally low red blood cell count. The symptoms of anemia include difficulty breathing, pale skin and tiredness. brain damage, drinking alcohol shrinks certain areas of your brain, which can cause memory loss, impaired brain function, poor judgment and more. The negative effects of dehydration include excessive thirst, impaired organ function, reduced strength levels and sleep problems. In addition to this, alcohol can also weaken your heart and cause irregular heartbeats. liver damage, alcohol is extremely damaging to your liver cells. It can cause liver failure, liver cirrhosis, better known as scarring of the liver and more.

Drinking alcohol on a regular basis can lead to a specific type of nerve damage known as alcoholic neuropathy. The symptoms of alcoholic neuropathy include constipation, dizziness, impotence, and numbness in your arms and legs. pancreas damage. Alcohol adversely affects your pancreas and can lead to pancreatitis.

A disorder where your pancreas becomes inflamed. pancreatitis is a painful disorder and can cause abdominal pain, abdominal swelling and nausea. damage to your pancreas can also increase your risk of developing diabetes. By eliminating alcohol you avoid all these harmful effects. However, if alcohol is something that you drink Drink regularly, and the thought of giving it up might sound impossible. So, what can you do about that?

So to help you through the process of eliminating alcohol, here is a list of tips that can help you. First of all, tell your family and friends. If you don't tell your friends and family that you're planning to quit alcohol for the next 30 days, they'll be likely to offer you alcohol or encourage you to drink it. This adds unnecessary temptation and makes it much more difficult to stay alcohol free. By making your intentions known. you'll remove this temptation and also gain help and support from those around you.

Remove alcohol from your environment. If your home contains alcohol or you socialize in bars on a regular basis, you'll be constantly exposed to alcohol and this is another strong source of temptation. Therefore Make sure your home contains no alcohol for the duration of your 30 day detox. And if you often spend time where alcohol is prominent, consider skipping those events for the next month. Drink plenty of water. Drinking water is a great way to stay hydrated and has countless health benefits.

Additionally, many people confuse a craving for alcohol with their body craving water. So by filling up on water, you can actually feel less compelled to drink alcohol. Now, I know you think well, occasional glass of wine can't hurt, right? But during the 30 day detox, I'd really encourage you to take it out all together. All right, then let's move on to habit two.
