STEP BY STEP FOR SETTING A BOUNDARY:

Identify the boundary internally - pause and become VERY clear on what the boundary is within your own system (mind, heart, body). Decide not to waiver. Call on all your muscles of distress tolerance and presence to approach this moment with your child.
Get on the child's level with soft eyes and a warm effect - acknowledge the feeling, need, or desire before anything else.
You may need to support your kiddo in regulating to a place they could even receive validation from you, before offering this acknowledgment.
Tell or remind your child of boundaries - with love and neutrality, express to your child that they are not wrong. You are learning together. (Even if every part of you wants to make them wrong. A...
