Research is fine find that audiences will only listen to about 50% of what you have to say. But then that retention or motivation will have dropped to about 10% A week later. So knowing what you want that 10% to be will keep your eyes on the main prize keep you focused on the main event. What do you really want to achieve in your presentation? It's easy to get distracted by a concept or a pulled muscle. So before you start gathering ideas, start getting focused.

This is what we call dynamic intense pressure. duration and dynamic content is simply that a dynamic commitment to something. And to do it, you need to know three things. One, why are you there in the first place? I mean, seriously, if you don't know, don't expect to get the results you want. It might not be glamorous, for example, to talk to your boss about why you think you should get a promotion, or to take your fitness more seriously.

Come on. Yeah, thanks. But whatever it is, articulating out loud to yourself, will make sure that you know you're in the right place, too. If audiences are only going to remember 10% of what you have to say, what do you want that 10% to be? Think of it like a headline because a headline makes it easy for you to remember, but also encourages you to think about the particular demographic you've got in a room. A headline that would suit all those Ed sits and Peters.

You might not say it out loud, but it will make it crystal clear in your head. A headline also Take some of the weight out of it. And three, in one word, how do you want your audience to feel by the time you finished speaking to them, an audience will always feel something. Don't let it be an accident. They might not feel inspired by migrating their email server over to a new supplier. But you can aim higher than board maybe even relaxed.

These three questions why, what and how that make up dynamic content. The quickest and easiest way we found preparing any message just with that and a good understanding of your subject matter, you do a good job. But if you've got more time to prepare, which you have, the next stage will be about toning them up a bit. So stop, write down your answers to those three questions while you're there, what the big idea is and how you want your audiences to feel but Third question begs one extra note, because if you want people to feel excited or happy, you have to demonstrate it you have to show it loudly and physically. But I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here. more of that when we come to the you part of the equation.

For now just remember to demonstrate how you want them to feel
