When I look back on my first mentorship I was 21, and I realized that I did want to become a social worker and I wasn't sure what was the fastest way to accomplish that goal.


So I went through the phone book at the time when we had phone books and called some licensed clinical social workers.


And quite a few of them didn't take my call but one guy did.


And I asked him what do I do.


How do I get to what you're doing the fastest most streamlined way?


I set myself on the course he explained and accomplished that goal.


And just as I've evolved in my career to be where I am today, I've always aligned with someone doing what I think I want to do so that I can learn from them the best and most efficient and productive ways to do that.
