Congratulations on finishing the first chapter of the course, I hope you were able to achieve my goal for you, which was to have you played popular songs using just these four chords. And to help you get very comfortable with using them and seeing how they work in these different contexts. My next goal for you will be to have you choose 10 songs of your own choosing, and then move them into the simple key of G major and start strumming along with them, I hope that this becomes more and more fluid for you. And that you can feel very comfortable taking any song, deconstructing it using this little bit of music theory that we've covered. And being able to make these songs beautiful and unique so that you can let your own unique talents shine through the music that you're making. And so the best way to start is with covers and if you have songs of your own that you want to transpose you can do that.
But I would recommend as the next step would be to take 10 songs, just write them down, doesn't really matter what they are, and then use the sheet in the link below and move them into the easy key of G major. Learn how to basically sit down and play it comfortably and have fun with it play to open mics or play for your friends and family. And as you do that process and have more and more questions as you go through it, you'll notice that there's a lot of things that we simply couldn't cover in this first chapter, just for the sake of time, but there's a lot of questions that will come up, and I cover them specifically throughout the course. So use it as an index. If you have a question about how to play this chord better, then go to the core chapter.
If you're lacking motivation, or you keep getting distracted or you need to practice schedule, then definitely go to the chapter on how to learn faster than everybody else. If you have questions on music theory, which a lot of you will have, then jump into the music theory chapter, and so on and so forth. And also feel free to reach out if you have any questions, but the next step would be choosing your 10 songs and starting to learn them and then as you have questions, just jump back into the course.
