The next thing that I want to look at in this video is how to make them more beautiful and interesting, because we are limiting this course to just a couple of chords. So the first thing you can do to make these chords more interesting is you can actually take one of your fingers off the fretboard, because everything that we do in this course is based in G major, which means all of these open strings are already in the right key. So let's say you're playing an E minor chord like this, then instead of playing these two, you could just take one of them off, and then you would have something like this. Or you could take the other one off and you have something like this. So it just makes the chord a little bit more interesting. And you can do that with any of these.
So for example, with the D one that I do a lot, is I'll take off the middle finger on that top. You got a really cool sort of feel to us, you can start to tell a story using these simple chords. Let's do the same thing with C Let's just take off that pointer finger, feel how the mood of the court completely changes. And you really didn't have to learn any theory or technique, all you had to do is just take off one piece. So I would encourage you to sit down and I've got a lot of details in the lessons later on on how to do this, but I would encourage you to sit down for a little bit and just try to get comfortable with how to make these chords a little bit more interesting by just taking off a random note every now and again.
