DESCRIPTION: The Environment When we talk about the environment, I am talking about the area you are in at that point in time, you may take your dog out for the day, and within that day you may visit a large number of different environments. For example, being outside, then you go into a town, then into a cafe, then back outside, each time you change where you are you are entering a new environment for your dog to contend with. The Environment has a huge impact on your dog. It has an impact on how they feel, how they will behave, how they can behave, and how they can train. So always, always think about your environment. So I like to think about the environment in terms of training as a bit of a step ladder. Okay. So level one to me is always the most comfortable room for your dog. I would suggest this is normally your lounge, kitchen or dining room, where you spend the most time. The sights, sounds and scents are all familiar to them in that room.
