Having just a collar on a dog that pulls can cause, and increase reactivity in dogs towards other dogs, as each time they pull to get to one, their neck hurts. If you prefer a collar, then a flat collar is best. We don't use any aversive equipment on our dogs, choke chains, prong collars, E-collars, etc as we prefer to use equipment that doesn't cause any pain.
