The program is divided into 30 days. And each day begins with a brief reading from me, followed by a Christian scripture for you to meditate on. And all scriptures were taken from the Holy Bible, English Standard Version, copyright 2001 by crossway. For those unfamiliar with meditation, here's a quick how to. Basically meditation is simply focusing on one thing at a time, when other thoughts appear, which they will switch your mind back to the object of your focus. It's that easy.

You can't do this wrong. A lot of people beat themselves up by saying things like, I can't do this. It's too hard. I can't concentrate on just one thing. My thoughts keep interrupting me. When I say to this is, of course they do.

That's what thoughts do. They race, they interrupt, they disturb, they inspire, and on and on. Again, that's what they do. You Your job, like taming a new puppy is to keep redirecting them back to the object of your focus, which in this case is the Scripture. You can also focus on your breathing as you watch the white screen, you might want to follow your breath by saying, breathe in on the in breath and breathe out on the exhale. So why meditation?

Well, meditation teaches you to focus on one thing at a time. Many people pride themselves on their ability to multitask, but multitasking actually causes stress. Learning to focus on one thing at a time is more efficient. When you push away other thoughts. This trains your brain to push away unwanted thoughts in general, like negative thoughts. And finally, meditation gives you a few minutes in your busy day to go within.

And that's a good thing.
