Exercise is good for maintaining dogs&rsquo; general health; it helps keep the heart, muscles, and joints healthy. Exercise can also improve behavior. Exercise is important for all dogs and it can be especially important in managing dogs with behavior problems.
&nbsp;How much exercise does your dog need?
For the average dog, there is limited evidence on the ideal exercise requirements. According to the 2014 AAHA weight management guidelines for dogs and cats, with the exception of walking, there is little documented about the caloric expenditures of exercise.
