Be sure it really is &ldquo;just behavioural&rdquo;
Before assuming that the problem you are having with your dog is purely behaviour, it is important to look for and rule out (or, treat as necessary) any physical or medical issues that may be contributing to the behaviour. This is a &ldquo;golden rule&rdquo;  in veterinary behavioural practice, as changes in behaviour often are a sign (and often the first sign) of an underlying medical problem.
