Hello, I'm Scott modem from sandbar calm. Welcome to part three of our meditation series journey to the forest. And today we're going to be talking about desire and approval and desire and approval. Making changes in our life so you can get more of what you want in your life and become more of who you. So desire. The way I define desire is I call it authentic desire.

And the way I define desire is desire something you feel in your body. That desire desires, what I call the object of desire, there's something that you want in a relationship, you want a job, you want a hell of experience. There are objects of desire. Authentic desire is something deeply connected to you and out of feeling You want. So an authentic desire that you might want might be something like feeling more magical in your life, feeling more love being more connection, these are things, you maybe you just want to have more space and time in your life. things getting really intense, you can't handle things, and you just want to be quiet.

And that's an authentic desire, something to feel. Usually you feel it in the belly. So what tends to happen in life, you start going off to things that you don't necessarily want authentic level. Or we may connect with something authentically and stop just doing that. through the process of trying to reach that objective desire. Something shifts, something changes don't disconnect from the original impulse.

The other thing that can happen is having a lot is basically because we're disconnected from our authentic Israel actually cases Things that are part of the sort of means of society. And what do I mean? What I mean by a meme is these ideas that have no idea, do the job, the idea of living in a house with a family. some very basic examples. And we taste those names because everyone else is doing it. And we think that's going to create this connection or the control but they don't because we're not actually connecting to ourselves on our authentic desire level.

So the way I teach, access desires, same as what we're doing with the other two practices around, getting into our awareness, navigation, feeling our emotions and doing healing work, become present, get into our awareness, and we start to feel and start to feel what the desire In the belly on inflation level, in the beginning, it might just be a kind of tingling in the belly. Not the sort of not in the belly. But as he kind of sort of very face one thing, and the minds might not actually understand or be able to articulate what it actually is a feeling. And again, where vision comes into place, we can sort of project our attention into the desire into our belly, and start to see these qualities. So you might see something kind of dark and naughty in the belly. Or you might see a sort of structure there.

Or you might see a landscape there. And in the last part, I talked about feeling a Kenyan in my heart when I was trying to work with emotions. In my work with desire, I sort of felt these kinds of billows the mic, and it's like, make like flows moving through my belly, kind of energy. In the beginning, it can also be quite intimidating. If you don't know what it is, your mind doesn't understand what is happening here. And that sense of fear is actually a key indicator that you're actually touching on a real authentic desire.

So, same principle of navigation and feeling applies. We wanted to feel what's, and you just want to go into that. And then put a little bit in a moment about approval. But there's a very key part of working with desire, but with navigation in the desire again, it's feeling going deeper and deeper, seeing what emerges. That's going to be what's authentic about your desire. It's not your mind trying to tell you what it is or trying to come up with ideas of what you need.

Getting out of the mines feeling what's there. So as always, As I start summarize, things are going to come up that, again, a kind of potentially either great satisfaction, or it's going to create a lot of fear. So like, you know, personal experience for me was being in a relationship, and all this desire coming up for wanting to be with other women. And it's very, very confronting. So I was in a very beautiful, connected relationship. And I really didn't know what to do with those, those desires.

And it caused a lot of tension in me and it took a lot of time before I figured out actually the key thing was actually just about being an approval, or whatever that feeling was that one thing and that was, it didn't actually mean I was going to do anything about it. That's a very key thing to understand is because I will come and it's going to change. And it just, it I'm going to prove it allows it to move through and allows you to determine whether you do Do something with your desire or not is another thing. And we'll go into that a little bit more in a moment. I want to talk a little bit about our ultimate desire is the connection. And that's the meaning of that connection with ourselves.

And that's what getting in touch with desires, or that and that's why it's really important because it connects us to ourselves and what we want as individuals. And then the next level of connection is about connecting to other people. So when we connect with ourselves, and we start living from a place of ease, we fill up and we want to start serving that connection that we have with other people. We want to connect to them. We want to share our experience with our connection and our desire with other people. And then what comes after that is a sense of connection to the wider world, to your community, to your family, to your work, your purpose in life.

And then from there, the last connection is and the ultimate connection is the desire for connection to the divine or the higher you something straight. It's beyond the mind beyond the physical sense of oneness and perfection in life. So, how to work with desire. So there's a four step process that I've discovered that really allows you to accessing your desire, make it really work with you, rather than being a force that can create a bit of chaos and triggering your emotions triggering your mind. keeping you in that loop out in and out of the vehicle. The first step is just acknowledging that you have a desire, you might feel it and you might not know wanna acknowledge it in a relationship with other women, and in the beginning, I didn't acknowledge them.

That kind of stuff. But as I was still there, it didn't go away. And what I found really helped change things was then the second step is being an approval of it. And by being an approval of it, it allows you to start to synchronize with it. It's given permission, and giving an acceptance that the desire is. And a lot of the time, that's what your desire wants, it wants to be felt.

It just wants to be accepted and approved, though. That's why these desires kind of, they don't shift. They don't transform something positive in your life, just because we're not acknowledging them and we're not in agreement. And then something's gonna change. It's gonna take you deeper or into deeper desire, that I expect that connection, that things like that are going to emerge, or the desire is going to come up. That desire also in life grows stronger.

And you might realize The desire that you just need to express is the third step of working with design, expression or design. So yeah, a lot of the time you go up to a friend and say this great thing you want to do and she desires. And you want them to give you feedback on what you're actually doing is you're asking for their approval because you're not in approval. And by being an approval of that, it allows it to come through and what you find when you start to express your desires. People really start to open up to you and they start to respond to your desire, rather than you looking for their approval, which makes them uncomfortable because you're uncomfortable with your desire. You're not in approval, but the truth is finance and finance.

It goes back to when we were kids, it wasn't like parents are giving other parents trying again. We're always looking for a parent's approval and come to sort of dynamic way Sometimes you sometimes I've done this with just disharmony. And that pattern repeats throughout our lifetimes into adulthood. And simply just by getting an approval of others, it takes us out of that loop. And so expression becomes a really powerful tool. And again, expressing your desires and meaning.

You have to do it doesn't mean you're gonna do it. It's just the level of working with your desire. expressing what you want to the world. Higher Self is universe to your friends are just simply deciding it out loud. They talked about the voice being a very creative thing and it's helping to sort of manifest things in your life. So I had an experience where I was really attracted to a girl once and I really wanted to just made out and I feel I just want to get better I express it, because I was an approval of it, she actually really responded really positively to it.

And so we set up this time to make out and I went over and we were hanging out and actually realized I didn't want to make out with her, I just want to express that she is this beautiful girl that I could definitely have a makeout session with. And she felt the same way. It was like level of connection. And validation, we were just sort of looking for an expression that we were looking for with each other. And after that, we became very good friends. So expression isn't, again, it's not something expressing it is, it doesn't mean you're going to do it.

It's just this level of working deeply with our desire. So the fourth level of desire and working with desire is about the request. It's actually something you really want and you want to take action on them. And what's interesting about this process of going through acknowledgement, approval and expressions, whittles down the desires, what the real desires are that you actually want to act on. Because you know, we all have these desires coming up coming up all the time, and we think we have to act on them all, but it's not true. It's just these things that come and go, because desire is always changing.

Until you get to this place where there's something you really want to act on. And then you know, what to do you know what you want. That's when you're sort of very connected to your desire. And by by taking action, things actually start to happen because you're in approval of it, and you're expressing it. And then desire becomes this force that can really start to change your life. And what happens is something it's like life, a synchronicity starts to happen, you know, things just start appearing and you're like that, that help you make things happen.

So I had this experience with Where I really wanted to come here to to Nova Maduro and to the first festival that they had here. And, you know, I didn't have the money at the time. And I was in so much approval of wanting to come and something I was really expressing to a lot of people. I was unable to sort of make this kind of request to the universe to something, you know, with this higher power or something to my soul, maybe. And within a week, the money just came together, landed in my lap, and the whole ship just was this seamless, easy, effortless, beautiful, magical trip that just unfolded. So that's the power of the four steps.

Fifth step, and it's not something for everyone is it's more about working on the level of your highest self, but it's where you request something and you deliberately Don't give it to yourself. So it's you get the requests out, and you're actually offered that thing. But he doesn't take it. And that's what that's about is transforming design into something bigger than just being in your life, being in the world, connecting to a greater force. And I had a very profound experience where I was feeling a lot of desire, I was expressing it, and I wanted it. And I could have had it, but I decided that there wasn't, there was something else there in not having it.

You know, and I talked about this in India where you know, you go and fast for example, or you abstain from sex. It's, what it's creating is this transference into something bigger psyche, you're Really in the desire, the wanting of it, you want it so much and you can't have it, you're not giving it to yourself that it has to go somewhere. And that's when it goes into something bigger, something deeper and it really can. Three powerful way of shifting consciousness and connecting to something larger in life. So the way I define approval does very key part of what I do in my work. And the way I work with my process is true is just simply permission.

Giving yourself permission to feel your experience, whatever is happening, whether it's desire, whether it's through emotions, or whether it's connection to something bigger. And it's also an acceptance of what is this is an emotion, they're giving yourself permission to feel it. And there's an acceptance of, that's actually what you're feeling. It's like becoming very honest with yourself. And through doing that, that allows something to change. So there's going to be a change, that's what we're looking for.

But it allows you to actually go deeper into the experience. If you're not an approval of your experience, you can't go deeper as resistance. So that's the key thing to understand about approval. It's simply that and the reason I use approval and not say, Yeah, when people talk about self love giving yourself self love, well, you can't give yourself love until you're in approval of what you're experiencing until you have permission and acceptance of what your experience, then love as a force can actually start to access you. Otherwise, you're living in this box, and you're giving these conditions for love to come in and start working with you. It's like you're not prepared to feel it.

And be in your experience. So love can actually reach you. It's like you got to create this kind of self approval creates this openness. creates the possibility of connection. To get that connection, you have to do the work, you have to connect it and go deeper into the experience of the navigate and start to transform these things. So this whole process, you know, these four steps of approval, and working with desire.

This is what I call, this is the transformational part of what you're doing. This the healing part and this is the sort of more transformational sort of side of it. And approval is a really key part of it because it's keeping you in that potential for connection, that openness. The way I kind of like to sort of describe it as is like you're the vessel and there are things you're trying to transform in your life. And approval is the ignition switch that allows the fire to stop what allows the fire to really Come Alive is stillness connection, a higher vibrational force that's there that feeling like the air that's feeding the fire and your inner experiences the fuel, that approval is the thing that's going to transform it and desire is the wanting to do that. So now we've covered awareness and vision.

We've talked about navigation, talked about hearing and immersions. Now we've talked about desire and approval. So this is the, these are all the tools for the process, and the work that you're going to do for yourself. And the last thing that you need now is to understand about connection and what you know what liberation really is. And that's going to be the topic of our last part of our series.
