Hi and welcome to my meditation series journey through the forest. My name is Scott Merton, from sand body calm. And I'm here in Nova for Turo in Brazil and the Amazon. Four days boat ride upriver from the nearest village. And I've been spending the last week here in Nova metiria, with learning Korean people, and getting to know more about their culture and about their spirituality, and having some deeply profound experiences and going through a lot of personal transformation here. And it's amazing to see how people that live so close to nature can learn so much from nature and how that informs the spirituality and the way they use in their community and with each other, and it's such a beautiful place to be very privileged to be here.

So today, in our first part of our series, we're going to talk about awareness, vision, and how to start to navigate out in our experience. So let's go With awareness, awareness is what we're looking for when we want to go into a deeper experience of ourselves about spirituality and something bigger than who we think we are. awareness, the way I define it is, it's about getting out of your mind and into stillness and into silence. And the way I do that, and the way I teach that with my coaching clients is through using the third eye. And the reason I use the third eye is because it develops your inner vision. It allows you to see beyond just the physical world that allows you to access and go inside yourself and start to navigate your experiences.

So without without vision, without being able to see what's happening. You can't go deeper into your experience. And the simple way I teach to go into the third eyes through simply starting with the breath, and then through the breath, we freeze up into our forehead area that creates a sense of vibration, sense of pressure, sense of gentle sort of tingling, which gives you a sense of where the Third Eye Center is. And from there, as your eyes closed, you begin to sort of look into that dark space with your eyes closed. And again, through the press, it's like he sort of look into that dark space and breathe into it. And it's like you're drawing in that dark space in towards the vibration, so we can sort of activate something.

And then as you do that, you start to notice that it's not completely dark there are like the sort of light particles floating around in the vision. And as you breathe into that, draw it into the vibration, something opens up, something develops, you start to sort of see these colors forming these particles of light forming into sort of these shapes, which might be undefined or they might be more sort of defined. And, and again, you just keep going through this process where you going into the code and qualities Inside the qualities, drawing them into the vibration. And through this process, we begin to go deeply into sort of let the mind step aside. And something else opens up, which is stillness and silence. And this is where we want to get to a meditation.

So we're out of the mind rather than noise about thoughts or emotions. And we're just in this state of just being stillness, awareness. So it's this vision that we're developing in the third eye that's going to allow us to navigate. So let's talk about navigation. Now, navigation is the ability to go through our experience and not get stuck together into the qualities that emerge, whether qualities are things that we see in the third eye space, lights, color shapes, but also sensations in the body, or it could be emotions could be like pain in the body. When we begin to sort of direct our attention into the body via the third eye We might start to see shapes, we might start to see structures, you might go into an emotion and start to feel the emotion.

And out of that emotion, these impressions come. So you might be experienced with people that are feeling heavy emotions, they might feel this like sense of a door in their chest, for example, or it might appear as like a stone, this heaviness, it's got this emotion. And so the way we navigate is we go inside, we project travel inside, what the experiences what were what is emerging through our experience. And we just keep repeating that until we go deeper and deeper and deeper. And other things start to emerge, emotion starts to open up. And we begin to sort of build this, this picture of what's happening inside us.

But also we get to sort of feel deeper inside ourselves. So in the beginning, we might be feeling a sense of sadness, that as you sort of go into the sadness and Just allow yourself to feel it. What might emerge is his feeling of loneliness. And then as you go into that, another emotion might begin to emerge. And again, you're gonna start getting information about why those emotions are there, you're gonna get memories that are gonna start coming to you. Interactions you've had with people that may have triggered experiences, maybe you know, childhoods that have maybe created that emotion.

And you've been going through this loop. repeating these behaviors, getting this emotion triggered, this picture starts to emerge that we can then start to unlock, transform and heal. And then the great thing that happens when we start to navigate and we start to heal, and we start to begin to transform these things is something else emerges through this place of stillness and relief of happening. That's when desire starts to come in and desire starts to wake up. But what we sort of tend to be stuck in is this sort of minds emotional desire loop where a desire might come up, it might trigger an emotion, we get stuck in the emotion. And we don't want to feel the emotion.

And we go back to online and try and figure out how to fix it. And from the mind, we can never fix these things. So it's all about using our vision, navigating into our experience, and feeling it. So the key to unlocking all this is feeling vision. And that's where we're going to get our understanding of what's happening. So the main key point, something to take away from today.

Revision, it's about using our breath, using vibration, using the qualities, get that sense of stillness. So we can go deeper into the experience. And those are the four components to the beginning of meditation, and you're always going to be practicing those for free. And with navigation, it's about feeling what's there by going into an inside the qualities and drawing those into the vibration in the forehead. So this week, we're going to do a series of meditations. The first one is basic set meditation, we're gonna go into the third eye space, and we're gonna go through the different centers in the body, and begin to see what emerges out of each chakra, if you want to call it that, or each sensor in the body.

And meditation after that, we're going to do a walking meditation, to learn how to be present in our third eye, lost in our bodies and in action. And the third meditation we're going to do is again, it's a third eye meditation, but I want you to use it in your workplace can be a short one, but it's gonna let you be present. So you can have more focus, clarity, more insight while you're present, doing your work or in your interactions during the day. Whether you're with your friends or colleagues. You're speaking with them. Whether it's you just you know you've got a task that you're trying to accomplish.

We're gonna start seeing what what sort of emerges through our experience by being present, through being sensitive with using our vision and learning to navigate our experience.
