Hello and welcome back. Auto media brings you attractive and simple styles of text animations in Adobe Flash. So let's start. Get a new Flash file and save it with the name text animation. This is totally a text animation tutorial. So let's get the text first.

We type here, our media Private Limited. center line that text for the alignment panel, you can go to Windows menu, align, or simply press Ctrl plus K to get that box. This text is to be animated. So press f8 or go to modify, convert to symbol and convert the text to a movie clip. We will start with some basic textile animations.

Insert a new keyframe on the 25th frame and apply motion tween on the very first key, shift the text to the left of the stage. Take it off the stage. So it will appear as if coming from the left to the center of this stage. In addition at zero alpha for the first key text and give 50 as ease out value. So now the text is smoothly tweening into the screen with a fade in effect, change the EAS value to minus 50 and see the difference. The animation speed will change from slow to fast.

This style is done. So let's view the output. The text is animating without a pause on the screen. Let's give it a hold for Another 20 frames, press f5 on fortify. This keeps the text stable for some time and makes it readable. It's good now.

Insert a blank keyframe by f7. Step inside the text symbol and make it bold for better visibility and appearance. Check its alignment. Once again. The alignment varies with every single change in the text. This is our first basic text animation done.

Moving ahead, let's insert the second layer. This new text effect will start on the 46th frame on the second layer, so it will not overlap the first text effect. You can even Copy and Paste in Place on the new frame to get the text that same position. Name the new layer as text animation underscore zero Let's start with the second animation part. Extend the frame still 80 and press f6 at 60 add motion tween between the keys to exchange will take place on the new layers first key. Use free transform tool and squash the text vertically as much as you can see, as seen in the video.

Also add zero on for value to the text on that key and have a look. It gives a very simple and decent effect to the text. You can vary the effect duration by moving the keyframe position. You can also add ease in or ease out values as you want. Add a new layer and name it. Text animation underscore 03. Insert the key at 80 and get the same text with the same method extended up to 115 frames. At the same time, we'll keep inserted a blank frame next to it. For animation, insert another key at the 91st frame. Apply motion tween always, the first key will be modified to get a normal text output on the end key.

On the first key, shift the text vertically up at some distance and also apply zero alpha value as seen in the video. alpha value makes the text appears on the screen along with defect. Text seems like jumping on the screen from about. Shift the second key closer for the faster effect. We add 40 ease out value as well. To make the animation fast to slow.

You can play with these values to get difference in the animation speed. Press Ctrl plus Enter to watch all three effects together. Add a new layer to start with the fourth text effect. named the layer text animation underscore 04 get the same auto media text on a new key on the fourth layer. Now you can directly press f7 on the hundred and 51st frame. This will extend the original key up 255 And create a blankie on hundred and 51st frame.

Press f6 on frame 132 create a new key for the animation as we did earlier here to shift the text tap on the first key, apply zero alpha to the first key and motion tween to the frames. Right now, this is the same effect as the earlier one. But instead of ease out given easing value of minus 52 This will move the text slow too fast. But we won't stop here. hold down the Alt key and copy the 130 frame on the hundred and 24th and apply motion tween between the keys. insert an additional key on frame 127 as well.

And now on this 120 seventh frame, move the text slightly down with hundred ease out value He's out represents fast to slow animation. Time to watch the animation. It's obviously different from the earlier one. It gives a feel like the text drops into the water and again pops up. If we play some more with the ease in or ease out values, we can get a perfect effect of text dropping into the water. Let's watch this in the SWF.

This is really working well. So let's start with the fifth text animation. Add a new layer and name it. Text animation underscore 05. On 150 second frame, get the same text key by Copy and Paste in Place. insert a blank keyframe on 185.

So we get the extended frames till 184. Add a key on frame 162 and on the first key of that layer, squeeze the text horizontally to its maximum, as seen in the video. Apply zero alpha on the same key and motion to in between the keys. Have a look. It's a simple and fast animation effect. Export and SWF.

You can use this text effects in many places. Let's go ahead for some more text effects. Add a new layer with new name text animation underscore 06 as this is the sixth animation style Create a new and first key for this layer at frame 186. Repeat the method to get same text on the new key. Press f7 on frame 215 to get extended frame still frame 214 add one more key at frame 197 here and apply motion tween between the keys assigned zero alpha to first key and also stretch the text vertically as much as you want. The text is animating in a different way.

Also add some ease value for a better effect. This is nice and simple. Get an additional layer for the seventh text animation So, the name will also be text animation underscore 07. Drag the text frame on a new key at frame 216. As seen in the video, extend up to 245 along with a blank frame at the end, inserting additional key at 225 and with the same speed, applying motion tween between the keys. This time, we plan to scale the text with proper values.

So to get the scale and rotate dialog box, go to modify, transform, scale and rotate or simply press Ctrl plus alt plus s on the keyboard. Put the value of 20 in front of scale. This will scale down the text by 80%. If you view carefully, this gives a different effect from the earlier ones. Even if we use the same scaling idea. Let's check out the added effects in SWF.

We are not done yet. Add a new layer and name it. Text animation underscore 08. Get the original text on frame 246 of this new layer. Extend up to 275 frames by adding a new blank keyframe there. On the first frame, move the registration point of the text on the guide level as seen in the video.

Click f6 on frame 256 for an additional key and apply motion tween between the keys. On the first key stretch this text vertically as seen in the video. As we shifted the registration point, the text got stretched only from the upper side. Its base remains the same. Now applies zero alpha value on first key, see the effect you can make out the difference created by just moving the registration point you can add these values for additional effect. Till now we animated the text using the same scaling and motion tweening properties.

Now, let's move ahead with some different styles. Take a new layer for a new effect, name it text animation underscore 09. Now, for the nine effect, we need the original text which center registration point and in the eighth layer, we shifted the registration from center. So copy the text using the seventh layer instead of the eighth layer. Paste that text on the 270 fifth frame of the new layer. extend that frame up to 310 to start with the effect Do key add to identify and apply motion to in there.

On the first key, shift the text to the right side of the screen and give it 100 ease out value. This will prepare the text to enter the screen at its maximum speed and stop all of a sudden God be the second key and place it on frame to a tee to apply motion to in between the two keys and give the same hundred ease out. Now, shift the text slightly to the left on this second key as seen in the video. Play and see what we created. It seems like the text takes a break on its maximum speed and comes back at its original position. Similar to the force of a motorbike.

Create a new layer again with a new name text animation underscore 10 and get the text key from the earlier layer and paste on frame 314 of the 10th layer. Repeat the procedure of extending of the frames along with a blank frame at 345. Add new key at frame 325. Select one of the first extended frames and move the text to left, same as we did for the first layer of the file. Remember that all the frames till next key represent earlier key. We applied motion to win by right clicking and created a new keyframe at the same selected location of the frame that is on 320.

On this middle frame, add zero alpha value to the text. Also give minus 94 as easing value to the second part of the motion to win on the second key You can shift the location of the text as per your choice. export an SWF to watch the output. We are using the same techniques with different values and on different text positions. Let's add some more or less name the latest layer as text animation underscore 11. Get the same text frame from the previous layer by alt plus drag and drop.

This frame number is 346 and it extends till frame 384 the new animation a blank frame is also inserted at the end. Add another keyframe at frame 355. Again, assign motion to in here. On the first key, move the text up as seen in the video. Add other keys that frames 358 and 356 Add frames between the keys by hitting f5. Here also apply motion tween between the keys.

Now, pick the text on the third key and shift it up. See the text movement. On the first key, you can shift it totally up of the screen. This shows a new bounce effect to the animation. Add ease values for better result. We are adding the effects in the same file to view all the animations together.

So let's move ahead and add a new layer. Name it. Text animation underscore 12 And text animation underscore 13 copy the Ottawa media text both the layers will start with the same frame numbers that is 386 and paste in place for both layers at same frame number. extend them till frame 395 by adding new keys and create motion tween between them. For layer 12, add a blank frame at frame 420. And for the 13th layer, add a blank frame at 396.

That means the animation on layer 13 is stopped just after the motion to in text on the first key of the 13th layer is shifted of the screen at the left side. Similarly, text on the first key of the 12th key is also shifted of the screen but at the right side And this is done, you can view the result in front of you. This is a completely new pattern of the text effect within less time here after the motion to when only one text will be visible. That is why frames of the 13th layer are not extended after the animation. Otherwise, the text would have been seen extra bold when on hold. Let's have a look at the newly added text effect.

In the SWF close the SWF file and add 14th layer in the timeline. Name it text animation underscore 14 get the same out to her media Private Limited text copied on frame 421. Press f7 and insert a new keyframe. On the totality apply motion tween to them. Now, press Ctrl plus alt plus s to scale up the text really big. View the animation.

Add easy values for more impact. Let's start with another effect on a new layer. Give layer name as text animation underscore 15. Copy and Paste in Place the same text symbol on frame number 451. We extended it till frame 480 by adding a blank keyframe at the end Under 468 frame, add a new key and another on 456. On this middle key, we scale this text to double its size.

Add motion tween between all the keys. Additionally to the text on the first key, apply zero alpha and minus hundred is in value to second half of the motion twin. Even, you can add ease values for the first half of the motion twin and check the result we created a new effect using the same scaling and fade in fade out parameters. You can even modify this using your own values and frame duration. Take another layer, name it. Text animation underscore 16 copy the text soon ball and drop it on frame 481.

Before extending the frame, move the text registration point to the left center. Now, extend that frame up to frame 510. Press f6 to add a keyframe at frame 490 assign motion to in here on the first key, squeeze the text totally towards the left using free transform tool. It gives effect of a door opening. Similarly, you can make it happen from the right side. These are just the ideas how you treat the text for such simple animation effects in very little time.

Let's have a look at them. Press Control plus Enter to publish an SWF all these are simple and easy fix to fix Let's start with some advanced styles in a new file. So, save this one by Ctrl plus s and take another Flash file. We will keep the same naming system for the layers. So give the layer name as text animation underscore 17. and copy the same Aruna media Private Limited text from the first file and paste it in place on a new layer of the new file. Press Ctrl plus Alt Shift plus R to show rulers.

Drag a guideline and drop at the same base of the text. we copied the text from the layer where the registration point was shifted. So first, place the registration point Gain at the center. And second, save the file at the same path naming it. Text animation underscore 02. Please follow the video carefully on how this is done.

Select the text symbol on stage and press Ctrl plus B to break the text and bring it back to normal text. Now, create four new texts containing our Roja media. Private, unlimited separately using the same font, size and bold. align those separate words with the earlier text on the dot When done, convert these four words to four different movie clip symbols. Name the symbol of our text as text underscore 01. Text underscore zero to two media texts involved.

Name the third movie clip symbol as txt underscore 03 for private and in the last symbol as txt underscore 04 for limited all the registration points are at their center by default. Delete the previous era media Private Limited text match each text with the guideline properly as seen in the video. No, grab all four symbols together. Go to modify timeline, distribute two layers. This distributes all four symbols in different layers. layers to get their symbol names as given.

Extend all frames till frame 25. clicked and pressed f6 on the 10th frame for a new keyframe. Apply motion to in to all the layers Grab all four texts on the very first frames and shift them up of the screen. No, shift eight slaves motion to input ahead by five frames ahead of the previous layer. As seen in the video, you can keep the frame duration of your choice or as per your file requirement. Here, we will extend the output frame still 45. Play and check what exactly this results into.

We applied the same technique of motion to when only the variation was for different words at different timing. You'll find all these symbols in your document library for bigger files, too. Maintain all the symbols, you can create a folder system inside the library. So let's create it here as well. named the first folder as text. Select all four text symbols and drop them into that folder.

Similarly, add one more folder named movie clip and shift earlier text movie dash clip into that folder. This folder system helps you find any of your required library file very easily. Similarly, in the timeline, we got four layers for one single animation here to create a folder by clicking on the folder icon on the timeline bar. Rename it as text animation underscore 17 as it's been our 17th text effect animation. Grab all four text layers together Gather and drag them into that new folder. You'll notice that the layers icon shifts slightly to the right.

This shows that layers are successfully dropped in the folder. We can close and open the folder on one click of the arrow besides the folder icon, here even if the layers are hidden inside the folder, the animation will play smoothly on this stage. Open the folder and insert blank keyframes at the end of each layer. So, we are done with the 17th text animation. Let's start with the 18th on a new layer. Drag and drop the text movie clip on the first frame of the new layer.

Get the text center aligned to the stage. Shift the first key of the new layer on frame four Seven as the 17 animations blank frame is placed at frame 46. also named the new layers as text animation underscore 18. Extend the frames up to frame 79 by pressing f7 at frame 80. Now, move its registration point again at guideline level, which is the base of text. Add new keyframes. On the 52nd frame, squeeze the text complete vertically.

We shifted that key to 51 and again added a new key at 52. Now, on the first key, flip the text downwards add motion to in. This looks like text is appearing from below to flip the text slightly upwards on the 52nd frame and apply a motion to in here. So, the text is flipping from below to the original position and the frame by f5. For the 51st frame, apply zero alpha value to the first key text and view the effect. Add a new layer for the new text effect.

Quickly name it. Text animation underscore 19. For this new layers frame, we got the text symbol from the library because text from the earlier layers is either broken into different symbols or its registration point is moved. Press Ctrl plus K to get the Alliance pandal get the text symbol center aligned to the stage. We will start this animation from frame number 83. Press f7 at frame 120 to get a blank frame there and to get the previous frames extended up to frame 119 insert the second key at frame 90 and apply motion to in here.

Now, on the first key, shift the text down as seen in the video, move it off the screen and this is its current motion. Add a new layer and drag the copy of the second key on frame number 95 of this new layer on this new layer, press f6 on 103 here to apply motion to in between the keys and shift the first key text down On this screen, insert a new key at frame 103. But in the previous layer right now, the animation is the same for both delays. On this hundred and third frame, shift the text slightly upwards. Again, we insert new keys that frame hundred and 10 for both delays. Also, we apply motion tween in these keys.

Select both the keys together and give a slight downwards move to the text as seen in the video. You'll get this when we go through it at least once. Here, we perceive that first the text enters as it settles down. The second text also enters from the same direction. It's the first text and go the text settled down together. When the first text gets hit, we show a slight push effect by moving Get slightly up on that key.

Once again, check out the animation, press f7 for the blankie at the end of the new layer. For this effect, we see two texts appearing on the screen. Now, for the new effect, copy the full text symbols created for the 17th animation and then paste them in place on the new layer at the top. Keep them selected to distribute two layers. Again, we will move these new four layers into a folder. So add a folder and name it.

Text animation underscore 21 for the 21st text effect select drag and drop these four layers in the folder. Keep the start key at frame 126 for all the four layers, extend those frames up to frame 160 and insert new keys at frame 134. Now on the first key performing that showing that is flip each word vertically using free transform tool, as seen in the video. You can hold down shift on your keyboard to get the exact rotation. Now, create motion tween between the keys. View the animation, we can add better impact by shifting the keys ahead.

We shifted just the motion tween part. Now, observe the animation variation. Insert blankies at the end of each layer without fail. The most important thing now, save your file. hit Ctrl plus Enter to preview them together. As I said earlier, you can add variations as per your needs.

Let's proceed with the next style. copy these four texts involves take a new layer and Paste in Place those texts on frame number 162 of the new layer Add a new folder in the timeline, name it, text animation underscore 22. Now distribute those four words on different layers by hitting Ctrl plus shift plus d. We have to start this 22nd animation from 162 frames. So, for all layers, press f6 on the hundred and 62nd frame to create these and delete earlier frames. Rename this use layer as patch and put it on outline mode. Now, on this layer, create a square patch placed on our router as seen in the video.

Remove the patch outline. Copy this patch and paste three more patches one by one for the rest of the three words based one and Just on media and under on private and the third batch on limited edition just as per their sizes. Select all four patches together and press Ctrl plus shift plus d to distribute these patches in different layers. Put all paths layer so now applying mode. Rename all the batch drawn layers to patch. These layers should also start from 160 second frame.

So, on the hundred and 62nd frame, press f6 Delete the frames starting from frame one. Now, move each batch layer above its relative words layer, like first batch shift about the first word, which is Aroha. second batch above media code batch about brief it. And the last patch about limited as seen in the video will mask those layers. So technically, mask layers should be about the object layer. Extend all layers up to 200.

We are not at all going to animate the patch layers though. We'll only work as the masking layers. So add keys at frame 174 only the text layers. Now, on the first key, shift each text to the left out of its patch. Insert motion tween between the keys. After this, right click on each patch in the timeline to select the mask.

Thus, those will work as the mask for the techs as you convert them into a mask, the patch layer and its relative text layer gets locked. See the text animation. Now again, we will shift the motion tween keys. Some keys I hate of the motion tween of the earlier text. This will result in appearing of the text one after the other. Also add the time duration using f5 key.

Let's directly go to the full preview. This is looking good without much effort. Shift all those new animation layers in the text animation underscore 22 folder and press Ctrl plus S to save the file. Let's add one more text effect add a new layer. This new effect will start from 260 frame. So, open the Documents Library.

Drag this text movie clip on stage on frame number 206. Open the alignment panel and centered align the text to this stage. Now, again, add a new folder in the timeline and name it text animation underscore 23. Drag and shift this new layer inside this folder. Name this layer text underscore 01 create one more layer in the same 23rd folder and name it txt underscore 02 add another layer text underscore 03. For this again, we will use different masking effects.

So get one more layer and name it patch. Now, hold down alt and duplicate the text underscore 01 keyframe on text underscore zero to same frame number. Now, hide the text underscore zero to layer and select the text on the earlier layer. Open the Filters panel, you will see this next to the Properties panel. Click on the plus sign here and select drop shadow. You will notice the variation in the selected text.

Check the knockout option here and put the distance value three also change the blur values to one for both x&y by these knockout option, we get the texture Currency with only the text drop shadow. Change the angle as well to 30 unhide the text underscore zero to layer in short, now the original text is on one layer and its drop shadow is on another layer. Again duplicate the original text keyframe on the text underscore 03 layer. Now for this text, open the Properties panel and apply tint to the text and keep the tint hundred percent white. So, till now we have white text on the third layer blank text on the second layer and the drop shadow on first layer. Now it's time to work on the patch layer.

So create a small rectangular patch here. Delete its outline. The batch color doesn't affect the animation. We rotate the patch slightly This patch should also start from frame number 206. Extend all four layers up to frame 250. Now, we have to animate only the patch.

So, press f6 to create a key on the 250 on the patch layer. Right click on the in between frame and instead of motion tween, apply shape to in. On the last key, shift the patch rectangle to the right side of the text. The animation part is done. Now change the patch layer to the mask layer and see the result you get a cool highlighted text effect here. This is giving us a completely different text look.

You can play with the masking effect in many different ways. Press Ctrl plus Enter to have a look. These are some more advanced effects. Let's go a step. Further now, save this file and get a new Flash file. Save this file as well as text animation underscore 03.

Paste the same copied original out of the media Private Limited texts involved here on stage as we had done for earlier files, here to put a guideline on text base. Check if the text is center aligned or not. These are the basic things we are taking care for every new file before starting the animation. rename this layer as text animation underscore 24 right click on this text and select Duplicate symbol, also named this new duplicate symbol as text animation underscore 24. Double click and step inside the symbol to view the normal text. The text is already selected.

So now press Ctrl plus B to break the text. Each letter of the word is separated with their own text nodes. Now, convert each letter into a separate movie clip, named a symbolic text underscore 01. For our name it text underscore 02. Similarly, convert each letter to a movie clip symbol, keeping the same naming rule. Keep the registration point default at center When all the symbolic part is done, grab all the letters symbols together and go to modify timeline, distribute two layers or press Ctrl plus shift plus d for the shortcut automatically.

You get all the 17 symbols distributed in different layers as per their naming sequence. If you open the document library, you will notice a number of the symbols open so Create a new folder in the library and shift all these 17 tax involves into this. create one more folder as movie clip and shift the remaining two text movie clips in that folder. Close the library and let's start with the animation part. Press f6 on the 10th frame of every layer and extend them all together till frame 30. For all the first keys, press Ctrl plus alt plus s to scale you can scale them up as much as you wanted.

Apply motion tween between all the keyframes. This looks like a normal text animation as we have seen in The previous file but for this, we are going to add some more different techniques to get different effects. For each letter, let's use the blur filter, select a on first key and add blur from the filter panels. Change its x&y values to 10 and also keep the quality too high. It looks like an adequate blur amount with high quality. Let's save this blur filter as preset.

So once again, click on the plus sign here and go to preset, Save As. This will help us picking up the same filter along with its saved parameters. For every letter, we don't have to keep changing the blood values give the preset name as blood underscore zero 10. The name also represents the blood values for each letter, go and select preset blur underscore zero 10 from the Filters panel for more radiations add 20 alpha value to some of the letters You can scale up some of the letters with different values. Now you can observe the overall difference created for the letter appearance. You can test and add some more variations in the letters.

You can vary the alpha values as well. This is obviously something different from previous ones, but we are not finished yet. Select drag and shift the motion tween keys randomly on the layers. Hold both the keys properly while shifting. Otherwise it can affect the motion tween and later animation. View the animation done till now.

You can experiment with the length of the animation to see what effects you get Exit to seen an extended till the animation done inside. Also insert a blank frame at the end of the layer. Save the file and preview the animation. Moving ahead, let's see some more effects using the same text distribution. Create motion tween between the keys are all the media is normally moving from up to its normal position. We extend the motion to in duration by five frames and inserted new keys at the 10th frame number.

Press f5 to extend the frames at any point. Again it gives a feel like the letters dip into the water and pop up to float. Here again, we will shift the motion tween keys by five frames duration for each layer. We also need to add the frame duration for the last frames till frame 121. Similarly, extend the duration in the main scene as well and preview the animation. Each letter is dropping and popping up so gently.

You must have surely got an idea by now of the endless ways in which we can animate text. Let's begin with another one. Add a new layer in the scene and name it. Text animation underscore 26 One more time, copy the 25th lead frame and place it on the 26th animations frame number 175. For now, extend it up to frame 226 along with a blank keyframe before starting with any of the changes, first, right click on the text and duplicate this symbolic step inside it and also remove all the animated key frames. Now we are ready with the normal 17 letter symbols.

At the top, add a new layer named batch. This will be again our mask layer. Put it on outline mode, draw a rectangle exactly of the complete text size. and lock the patch layer for now as seen in the video except the patch layer for every layer add keys at frame number 10 also create The motion tween between the keys. Now, on the first key, shift the complete text about the batch part as if they are entering inside the patch area. Additionally, move the motion tween keys randomly to and fro on their layers.

Even you can increase or decrease the time duration between the motion tween for more variations the Less the duration, the faster it will appear. No, it's time to mask the text. Right click on the patch layer and select mask. Only the top 17th layer gets masked by this. So, to do the same for the rest, select all remaining layers together and simply drag closer to the patch layer. You can notice the icon change in for all text layers.

This means they all are now Mark By the above patch layer still on stage, you won't see any masking effect. For this, you need to lock all the layers so that only the mask effect is viewable. So, now let's view it Ctrl plus Enter to view them all. Thus, we complete here our 26th text animation style. We are still going to look at more advanced effects. So add another new layer and name it text animation underscore 27 on the 238 frame, copy the same 26 layers tech symbolic and extended up to 288 frame.

Now again, repeat the process of duplication of the symbol Remove all the animated keys inside it. After that, make a copy of our media Private Limited text symbol. Place this new text symbol upside down like a mirror image of the upper text. If you remember, from one of the earlier animations, we created a preset blur filter. For this mirror image text, apply the same blur preset but decrease the blur value to do. Also apply the alpha value of 20% This seems like an exact mirror image.

Step inside the main text symbol and create new keys at the 15th frame.
