Pre-program commencement: Prior to starting the program you will complete a resilience assessment called the PR6. Session 1: Discover how the brain functions. Vision and Purpose
We start with learning about the basic needs of the brain. We will cover six scientifically proven areas to help you master your mind and move towards your goals in the face of adversity. We will also discuss how our goals become more achievable when they are aligned with our values and purpose. By focusing on our purpose, we can find renewed motivation to continue moving forward. When our goals are aligned with our values and purpose, we experience fulfillment, confidence, and balance.
In this module we challenge our view of the world through a lens of reality, providing us with a focal point and helping us achieve our goals in spite of life's uncertainty.
Session 2: How to remain calm and composed in the face of adversity
Strengthening your composure requires an ability to observe your thoughts, mood, and behaviors without judgment. This happens to be one of the most important skills we can develop when it comes to managing our stress and acknowledging our potential.
This module will provide you with strategies and activities to help manage your stress and regulate your emotions, helping you to stay calm and in control.
Session 3: Reasoning and Resourcefulness
We can be confronted with a challenge and not know where to start. By being resourceful, we enable ourselves to problem-solve and think through the stress associated with the challenge. This module opens us up to resourcefulness, problem-solving, and thinking through the stress, strengthening our critical thinking skills and proactiveness.
Session 4: Getting back up and starting again
Did you know that persistence is more important than intelligence when it comes to achieving your goals? In this module, we discuss the value of acknowledging our mistakes and learning from them. We acknowledge the need to remove judgment when we fail as well as the need for realistic optimism to keep us moving forward and to help us positively overcome mistakes.
Session 5: Connection
We are social beings. Human connection and investing in quality relationships provide us with a strong support network that is there to help us when times get tough. In this module, we discuss the importance of collaboration in helping us to normalize our own discomfort and shift perspective.
Session 6: Health - It lies at the core of your success.
Our sleep, diet, and exercise all play a crucial role in the management of our mental health. In this module, we will discuss how your health impacts the functioning of your brain. You might just be amazed at how much sleep impacts our ability to manage our mood and how diet and exercise influence our clarity and energy levels.
Session 7: Reassess
At the end of week 6, you will be reassessed on your resilience with the PR6 to establish your areas of growth. This week will also focus on reviewing the domains, discussing your progress and areas of further development that may be needed. Personal growth is an ongoing journey should you choose to accept it.
