Have you heard about Haro health reporter.com and it's very famous and a lot of people know about it, but there are some people who do not know what's Holloway's and how you can use it for your advantage. And probably the worst thing is that people do not know how to use it, including me. I mean, I have been using Heroku since one year or two years now, but I have not received enough success, because I was doing it wrong and Norrish showed me how to do it the right way. So I have asked Malaysia about the same question and he's here to share the exact same blueprint that He has given me with all of you guys. So let's hear it from nourish, knock, knock. Who is it?

Guess who? helper reporter is a great way for people for journalists and for potential sources to connect with each other. So you go to the website, sign up for their free email newsletters. And you get three emails a day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon one of the night, and every email is going to have pitches from journalists, producers reporters, because they are seeking sources for their their various outlets and channels. Now as a source so her she would you would be considered a member of the media because you have your own podcast, but you'd also be considered a source. If you wanted to be interviewed by someone as a source, what you can do is read these emails and respond back to the queries that fit your strengths.

So let's say for example, someone is looking for someone is looking to interview South Asian podcasters. And they put out a query on on help a reporter saying they want to interview South Asian podcasters. Well now if you subscribe, you'll see that and then you can send them a response saying on the South Asian podcasts where I host a show and then They'll interview you on their show. And how should I actually pitch them? I want to know, because I've tried doing that I have I have been a source, I have been a reporter as well. But I also try to get noticed out there as a source.

So I try to reply, but the acceptance ratio is so No, I mean, what should I do so that they accept me? What should I say? Should I give them a big list of all my accomplishments? Should I tell them what I was or what I am? Or are the more interested on the topic that are on the query that are asking? Yeah, so that's a that's a good question.

And let's get a little more specific. So the first thing is if you're going to use help a reporter, you want to respond to queries that are very niche and specific and we should fall straight. Well, that that necessarily doesn't matter. Because unless you're on He's on a tight deadline, which most of them aren't. That's not as big an issue, the important thing is, you want to respond back to queries that are very niche and very specific. So for example, if a query says, you know, I'm looking to interview successful entrepreneurs, that's a very broad niche.

And so you could respond to something like that, because you might think you're a successful entrepreneur. But someone like Ronnie screwvala could also respond to that. And he'll get the interview over you because he's a billionaire, or however much he's worth. He's a bigger name and all that. Now, however, if you respond back to a query that is much more focus, so let's say the query, for example, one thing I was interviewed on through through helper reporter a couple of months ago, was on entrepreneurs. One man solopreneurs.

And so solopreneurs is much more niche than, you know, successful entrepreneurs. And they were specifically looking for solopreneurs in there who are millennials in their 20s or early 30s. And so I fit that niche perfectly. And so when I, when I sent them a note, I knew that I was going to be one of, you know, maybe 15 to 20 people who are going to respond. Now, in my actual note itself. You want to keep it short.

And to the point, you don't want it to be too long, because, again, it's like they're reading a resume. You're only gonna spend a maximum of one minute going through your email, maybe maybe a few seconds. Yeah, maybe even a few seconds. So you want to highlight the key words. So if you're a number one bestselling author, include that somewhere I'm a number one best selling author include a link to Amazon so they can actually see it for themselves. If you've been quoted by CNN or CNBC include that hyperlink to it.

Interviewed by CNBC last month about this topic. If you're the CEO of a company or the founder of a company, highlighted, Sam was founder and CEO include the website to the shoot, I highlighted a link to each and every reputed source out there. Say, for example, I've been interviewed, I'm an author. I'm the CEO, should I give them 10 links? Or should I just give them links, they'll just pick what you think is the best. What you can do is you can say, I've already been interviewed by CNN, MSNBC, and many other national media outlets, and hyperlink, you want to hyperlink things instead of just putting long links in the email, hyperlink them within the text.

And that way, you can keep the email short and sweet. Should we also answer the query? Like, should you write a big paragraph or should you write a small two liner or something like that? No, it should be, I would say, several small paragraphs, send out one paragraph and not one you know, to liner. What you don't want you want to. You want to give enough information to the point that they haven't To respond back to the worst the worst pitches I get through help a reporter or through PR people are pitches from people who just say, Hey, I'm a successful entrepreneur.

Let me know if you're interested in interviewing me. They don't say anything about what their companies are they written any books, where they've been quoted who they are. There's nothing you don't you don't want that. You want to read as much as you can, but keep it short at the same time.
