In this lesson, you will be given valuable insights into the concept of Situational Awareness and some background information.
What is Situational Awareness?
We must understand what we are dealing with.
This means gaining a sufficient understanding of the scope, magnitude, and severity of the event.
How could I, my family, team, organization, community, state, or nation be impacted?
What are the short-term, long-term and if any permanent consequences to me, family, team, organization etc. as a result of _______________?
What actions must I take now and in the immediate future?
What are my responsibilities?
What do I need to know?
Where can I obtain accurate, reliable, and timely information?
COVID-19 has shown the world that everyone needs at least a basic understanding of the concepts of Situational Awareness and Mindfulness.
We live in a time and space where we face a number, of seemingly overwhelming challenges and seasons of great adversity, no matter where we live. These challenges can be personal or communal, regional, national, or worldwide. These challenges can be a result of natural or man-made disasters. In any event, higher levels of situational awareness are required to develop a healthy thought process for managing adverse situations and gain the ability to make the most informed decisions possible.
Reflect on the fact that the world’s people are exposed to pandemics, excessive rain and flooding, extreme hot or cold weather conditions, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, man-made disasters, bombings, active shooter incidents, and much more.
Situational Awareness and Mindfulness are essential topics that not everyone is familiar with, but everyone needs to learn, understand and apply for a number of reasons, which we will explore.
Everyone is prone to a crisis in life, yet few are equipped to understand the dynamics at play, how to process these dynamics in a mental, emotional, physical way, financial, or even spiritual way. Failing to gain enough situational awareness in times that really matter can further escalate crisis conditions and create additional adverse consequences.
It is for this reason we created this course for you.Â
