And welcome back to pillar two produced electromagnetic frequencies for better sleep. This is pillar two of module one's sleep better section. Now what are electromagnetic frequencies also called emfs. For the purpose of this program, we're talking specifically about electromagnetic frequencies that are human made and interfere with our body's normal function. This includes things like radio frequencies, magnetic fields, electric fields, and even dirty electricity. Now, the amount of electromagnetic smog or EMF human made worldwide is increasing exponentially.

This is why it's becoming more and more of health concern as of June 2018 55. percent of the global population has internet access. And 68% has a cell phone. Now this is really important because what this means is that there's more wires there's more antennas, especially cell phone antennas are going to increase immensely over the next several years. As 5g network starts to roll out. That's another topic for another day. But the point is, is that we're being increasingly exposed to EMF.

The common sources of emf that we would find our smartphones, Wi Fi devices, cell towers and cellular antenna, smart meters, everyday appliances, wiring inside your home, charging cords, computers and tablets, lights, wireless phones and baby monitors. Now, what we know for certain about EMF exposure is that it does cause DNA damage. It opens the blood brain barrier, allowing Mercury, organic chlorines and other pollutants to enter the brain. It reduces our body's reserves of antioxidants. It increases stress hormones, and it reduces our sleep. And based on 135 other studies, EMF exposure can cause the following symptoms.

They range from hormone disruption to tremors, irritability, increased cancer risk, increased risk or symptoms of autism. ADHD in children. It can even weaken our good gut bacteria. I'm not going to read through all of them here, but this is for your reference. And I'll give you a moment just to skim through some of the symptoms that this can cause and ask yourself the question. Does any of this feel like you are you experiencing any of these symptoms?

The good news is, is that you can help reverse some of this impact on your house and I've broken this into two different levels. Level One includes no and low cost measures to reduce your exposure to EMF level two includes low to medium cost measures, and also measures that you might consider if you're making a replacement purchase like a big replacement purchase. level one, talking about personal devices here, specifically cell phones. Keep your device one foot from your body when you're using it. Use a wired not bluetooth headset to have a conversation on it. Consider disabling your 4g LTE network and use a 3g instead.

I know it's going to be a bit slower, but you'll still have cell phone reception. You can speak with people. And there are a number of tutorials online that will help you make that change to your specific cell phone. Next, avoid using your cell phone when reception is really bad. Because what happens is that your cell phone works extra extra hard to receive that signal. So it's putting out More radiation.

So best to avoid using when the reception is bad. Turn it on to airplane mode when you're in a moving vehicle and consider turning it on airplane mode if you're using it as an alarm clock on your bedside table. Next step, what to do Level One Laptop. Now, this is really interesting because this is not typically what your computer will come with. It's better to use a three pronged grounded plug for charging your laptop. Most computers will come with a two pronged plug for charging your laptop.

So you will have to order a new three prong grounded plug for for charging your laptop. Don't set your laptop on your lap to work I know it's called the laptop but try to avoid doing that because The radiation that comes directly off of your laptop into your skin, well it's, it's not good you'll notice that your lap will get really hot really fast and you can use pillows but that doesn't do a very good job at blocking the radiation and you'll still feel pretty intense heat through that pillow. Next, turn off the computers Wi Fi when you're not in use. So at the end of my work day, I just go turn off the Wi Fi and before I shut my computer for the night for your home, please consider turning off your Wi Fi router at night. Some folks even put it on a timer so that they don't have to think or be reminded to turn it off at a certain time of night and turn it back on in the morning.

Consider getting rid of cordless house phones if you have one. If you do have a house phone, consider A wired one instead. Next, unplug your smart appliances or turn off the smart function. Don't stand in front of kitchen appliances when they're in use. I know a lot of us you know will turn on the coffeemaker or turn on the electric kettle and will just stand right in front of it. Like it's going to make it work faster.

But those give off quite a lot of emf when they're being used like that. So just consider standing back, the water will still boil just as fast. Next, get rid of baby monitors. Baby's bodies are really, really sensitive to EMF and baby monitors emit a lot of them and oftentimes they're placed really close to babies, babies heads and in their rooms. It's having a bit of an impact on their little bodies. Shut down circuit breakers for your bedrooms at night.

This sounds a little bit more extreme. But if you find that you're a little bit sensitive to EMF, especially, you know you see a good result from turning off your Wi Fi at night or putting your phone on airplane mode. Consider trying to shut down your circuit breaker for your bedroom at night to see if that creates even a bigger improvement. And finally, use or reduce the use of your hairdryer and limit the use at night. For level two, I have a few recommendations here. Instead of using a wired headset for your cell phone use, you can take it up a notch and consider using an air tube headset and air tube headset literally has no wires and you can find these at defender shield dot Come.

Defender shield comm also has a mat for laptops. And this mat you could put just directly underneath your laptop if you're sitting at a desk, and that will help block some of the frequencies coming off of your laptop. Opt for metal free bed frames, and metal free beds. And this is important to consider when you're in the process of replacing your bed. But when you do you remove some of the conductivity that metal creates for those emfs that we want to produce. Replace your induction stove with gas.

I know this is a little bit counterintuitive for some folks with regard to energy efficiency and removing gas fumes from the home. If you do replace your induction stove with gas which helps to reduce EMF frequencies that you're exposed to be sure to add some really good ventilation. Next remove mercury amalgams as they Leach more mercury when exposed to Wi Fi. And it's really important that when you remove the mercury amalgams that you go see a biological dentist. For that work, biological dentists are trained to reduce mercury in a safe manner. Now, a lot of homes are already wired this way and they can be hooked up again. So this usually isn't a big cost factor but it does take some knowledge to reset that up. Replace your smart meter At home with a manual meter if you can, or consider installing a smart meter defender available through live g.com. And finally, I wanted to add for this pillar how to detox from emfs. Magnesium is one supplement that's really great to take to help fight off free radicals caused by the oxidation that's due to EMF exposure. It's also important to note that magnesium is really, really important for sleep as well, when we're low in magnesium and this is one of the most the biggest mineral deficiencies that most populations have at this point in time because we're not getting this in our foods.

The soils are being drained of some of their nutrients. It's not being repeated. Paste in. So since we're not getting enough from our foods, we need to supplement and magnesium is really key for sleep, as well as reducing the free radicals caused by oxidation. Eat plenty of cruciferous veggies and foods high in polyphenols like cocoa and cumin, CBD and you can find this in low dosage without THC. This can help you detox from EMF as well.
