So module 3d is about groups and hacks that you can do to grow your group and do this for free, which is pretty cool for most of them. So the objectives are great how to grow your group for free, and easy ways to get your group in front of new audiences. And ways you can grow your group offline as well. So you need to start off with the end in mind and think have you consciously designed how big you want your community to be? Because you're responsible for growing your group. And if you don't set any objectives, it's going to be hard to know whether or not you meet them.

So what do you want? Do you need to replenish members you're losing? Are you looking to expand the community or just penetrate further into your existing audience and increasing engagement? So it's always important to look at your insights. So Facebook produce a tool that you can tap into group insights and see what's going on in your group. So that's important.

You can also use a tool called Joy, joy is a quick diuretics, but critics, and you can that's a paid tool and you can then get further insights into your analytics in your group. But group insights are being developed all the time. So here's the Facebook want to get going with. So do not focus as I brought up a few times on vanity metrics. So don't think I need to have thousands for it to be a successful group. It's just not true.

Focus on engagement. Do not ever, ever, ever add people to your group without asking? It's annoying. You're not adding people who are necessarily part of your target audience. They won't engage. It's bad practice.

Don't ever do it. People do it all the time. And it's ridiculous and it's silly. Please don't do it. So here's some techniques to grow. You're great.

So first of all added to your website. So you can see here in the top right, it says Facebook group. So that's their website and you can join straight from the website. And Facebook now give you an embedded code which you can embed on your website. And we'll get your web developer to do it. So it will show the button and you click the button, it'll take you straight through to your Facebook group.

Create a featured album on your Facebook page. So I have a featured album on my Facebook page, which actually looks like this. So you can add, I think, five featured pictures in this in this aspect of your Facebook profile, I've added one. So on desktop, if you go to my profile page, the biggest picture is just the one that I've shared, saying join the community here. So if you click on that picture to the right of it in the description, I put a link to my group so that's another way you can do it. So people who are coming to see you go across and Join up to your group that way.

And connect your Instagram to your business page. So business pages aren't as great for engagement and they don't get as much reach in the algorithm. So I've been used to worry about it too much. But recently, I have been posting everyday to Instagram and linking that to my business page automatically posts. So I'm creating more traction there and creating more people going back to my group and joining. So another free way to attract members.

This is what I was just saying about the embedded invite. So in your on your desktop, if you open up your Facebook group, above where the members pictures are, you'll see this sign if it's reached your group saying and that invitation. So if you click on that, it comes up with a some code here. And this is the code that you can embed on your website or within your email autoresponder which will create a button Which will look like this. So you can click on that. And that came through as an email.

So you click on join group and it takes you straight to the group. So that's another, if you have an email list, that's another way to get people going and joining your group. And the other thing is, is you can participate in other groups. So if you're in another group, you can talk and do an interview. So I was interviewed for karma entrepreneur community. And at the end, I mentioned about my group and if you're interested to come along, so that's, that's another way to do it.

So partnerships and collaborations are amazing ways to grow groups and add it to your social media descriptions. So like I said, I just started in the last few days, or probably the month or so, and started posting regularly on Instagram. And I had this in my bio, so you can click here to join and then there's the link through to my Facebook group. So that's got a lot of traction and people pro-family there are things you can do a speaker event. So I spoke at the lead gen summit with Richard woods, who featured on the BBC as apprentice. So he has a high profile, he asked me to speak at his event about Facebook groups.

And so people got to know me through his event. So again, go offline, as well as online, because then you get a different audience. And also, you're able to connect easier with people in offline context. You can also interview groups and your experts in your group. So if you interview experts in your group, then they can share that they're coming in your group to do an interview on their own social media sites. So they're putting you in front of their own audience.

So if they have a big audience, suddenly you're being promoted by someone who's already trusted by their audience, and they are getting further exposure. So that's a really cool thing to do. So, an extra hat without as if you're going to do an interview with someone who has an audience already. Create a post like this, and I will show you in the content module how to create this and create a post, send it to them, and say, here's a graphic for you to use to promote the fact you're doing an interview in my group. And if you'd like to share it with your audience, I'd be grateful. And so they're getting you getting some more exposure by just going that extra mile.

So there's an idea. Ensure you actively engage with your active members because they can make the group too. So in this example, Stephanie has been with me for quite a few years now. She's in my group. She's super active in there, and she recommended me to her friend Natasha, and who then went on and signed up and did my facebook group training. So that was really good.

And again, it goes back to the trust issue that I said, because that she trusted Stephanie, she then came on and then she quickly joined my group prep training program. So all these things, it's linked and it's great. So you can see the example of how it works in real life. So you could also grow your group by asking for an email address when they join using the questions feature. So in the tutorials, I showed you how to set up group questions, but here's an example. So you could pull if you leave me your email address, I'll send you some stuff over.

And you can let their email address make sure you save it into a Google Drive document. You'll lose them once you add the members into your session into your group. So make sure you do that key, their email address, and you can add them and build your list that way. So partnerships, again, awesome way to grow your group. So there's various partnerships here. So there's one at the top, which is Richard woods and his lead gen summit.

Daniel Priestley dent, so that's where I want to reward and he's promoted me to all kinds of people in his community, Martin norbury. He's also an excellent This guy and he promotes me regularly to his community. Steven Bryggen Shaw, he's promoted me tons of times. And at the top here is Robert Richmond from zap boss in America. That was at IMG doing an event. Again, I've met his community through doing the work that I do.

And then next to him is that some person who has been in the internet marketing space for many years done really well was standing next to a banner which has got my book on a membership sites how to make money from membership sites, which I wrote in 2013. And I supersedes that with all my other stuff now, but that's as at an event that I ran in association with the Internet Business School. So I'm in and I have run maybe three or four seminars together over the years. So again, it's again, a great way To get people to know about you and get them into your group. Another hack you could do is if you had a public group, you could feed people into a closed group. So that's one example.

So public groups, that means everyone can see them. They're not great for community building because they're not safe, in fact, because no one can read what's written in there. But it is a good way to get people discussing in this example, the park run, and then maybe if you wanted to get it into groups, so children who are running you could start a closed group, but for children who wants to the park run and move them into a closed group. You can use Facebook advertising, if you want to, you can link it to your Facebook page and then promote it boost that post and people get to know about your group that way as well. So that's when my group is bigger. The community engagement Academy I changed it Since to my community culture, but then there's an example of the post and how you can easily boost if you want to, I haven't ever done that I've just relied on organic growth, but that as an option and share insights from your group on other social media channels.

So this is an example of it's actually Facebook still. But I shared about what I was doing my group and share the posts that had happened in the group, which wasn't confidential. And then that got a lot of people come in, because that was interesting content. Yeah, I'm gonna come along and see what's going on in that group. So that's another way. So there's lots of different ways like that, and try and implement one of those ways.

I've told you talk about your group, share links, and yeah, you will be able to grow your group organically for free, which is super duper. So that's module three d complete. Moving on next to Module Three.
