DESCRIPTION: Resilience is the ability to &ldquo;bounce back&rdquo; from adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress. It is associated with some inner strength, competence, optimism, or flexibility which enhances the ability with life&rsquo;s challenges.
Resilience is not a trait that people either have or do not have. It involves behaviors, thoughts, and actions that can be learned and developed by anyone. We have a subsequent section on Resilience which would provide greater clarity. The Resilience plan showcases a tool that supports one to upgrade one&rsquo;s Resilience using the 4S framework.
