DESCRIPTION: Most of us realize that being authentic is about being and acting consistent with who you hold yourself out to be for others. However, what many do not realize is that Authenticity is equally about who you hold yourself about your own self. This second aspect is of great importance as it allows us a pathway to Authenticity.
In our discussion and usage of the Authenticity concept to improve relational assimilation and thereby performance in a disruptive world, being authentic has nothing to do about ethics or morality. In this course, we are not concerned with whether being authentic is right or good. Or for that matter, the opposite viz being inauthentic is wrong or bad. Simply put, we believe that the Authenticity factor is an important ingredient to improve performance.
