Here are ways to divide teams into fair groups:
(Note: Don't group by age, size, or ability)

Line up players by the number of groups you want:

If you want three groups, count 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3.
Separate all the 1s, the 2s, and the 3s.


Make groups based on the following:&nbsp;

Birthday: those born in: even/odd years (2 groups)
Birth month: First, decide the number of groups you want: You can group by those born in Jan and Feb, Jan-March, Jan-June (If the group is uneven, tell the first (or last, or #3, #5) person of a group to move to the other group. Refrain from using names.
Have players pick a card from a deck of cards:&nbsp;

Divide by color: Red and Black.
Divide by suits: Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs.
