Alright, so now I'm going to show you some special effects. Once I've done like the main special effects that I would use, I'm going to show you a few extra options as well that you could do if you want it to. So first I'm going to use the special effects setup action. Oops, make sure it's on Photoshop. There we go. and demonstrate that back in on the collar one on one.

That's and first going to do some color holds. All right, I will start with this little energy. I want to go to selection to isolate this part of the line art. I make my selections on the edge of the figure that kind of match the lines should look like the line width. Got that now? It says kind of going with like lavender, purplish.

So I'm going to look for actually, maybe that one. See if I can make a little lighter. Put up in the purple range. I'm not sure I find that Yeah, it looks good. Yeah, that looks good. All right, and the next holds.

Do all these little action lines on the edges. There we go. Select deep orange that one. Yeah, looks good. So picked an orange for that. blend in with the background effect that we already created.

Alright, now we're going to go in and do some glows. Oops. All right. So I'm going to pick this yellowish, orangish color. I think the brush and then few places here Drop some glows there. This shirt looks like that little flare is actually shining some light through the figure right around the edges of the figure.

Very gentle ones on the outside here. That looks pretty good. All right. Now I'm going to show you here recall from one to color one on one. I showed you doing some controlled glows where I'd have the lasso tool, and I was feather it by 30%. Well, I'm going to show you a slightly different approach to that to that same basic idea.

First, I'm going to put a glow on this little chest light. So I'm just going I'm using just a regular lasso, not feathering it up here, but now we're going to need to select Refine Edge. Here I'm going to put a 30% feather on it. So now that selection is now feathered, just as if I had done that feather to begin with. Let's look to blue and put maybe a little lighter blue. There we go.

Brushing that in there. Or you could do a fill but I wanted it to be more centralized so there's a glow there. Do something similar on his eyes. I might do a 20% further there, huh? That might actually be too much. Let's try 15 All right, pick a read this I'm next to Anna Phil on.

There we go. I've got glowing red eyes. Now, another thing I can do for you Going to select the energy with the wand tool. Now I am going to modify, expand, expand by 30. And then from there and I'll Refine Edge and feather it by 30. And then like a purple.

There we go. Another way to do it. Now we're going to go in with the brush, kind of expand some of the glows a little bit. A little there, throw a little there. All right. And so this is basically where I would probably leave the special effects.

But there are a few other things you could do in these situations that I know other colors would do. I like to still keep it a bit simple but you can go in do a little bit more if you want to, for example, these like reflective areas like the crown, you can come in here if you wanted to. Just doing this quickly, not being too careful. Then pick the brownish color. And then start doing some fills in here. And that can kind of help enhance the reflect stability.

And I mean, you can do the same thing. Like over on this guy, pick an area select some of these shapes, since these are supposed to be reflections. Again, I'm just doing that really quick just for demonstration purposes and do a few fields just to soften that. You can also I've also seen people do, I don't really actually care for this most the time I see it, but I've seen people do it on hair. Actually, I think normally they just do the whole hair because hair is softer and wispier then These other objects, so if you really want it to, you could push that back by making it so that the hair color isn't straight up black, so you could do something like that. And then also, if you want to even enhance, like the shine, you can put little hoops up to the effects layer.

Put some shines on that just to make it look more shiny, you know, and you can keep going. Just keep in mind the more you do that, the more you risk, muddying up the muddying up and confusing the image. And your main objective should be making sure everything is clear and readable to the reader so that everyone knows what's happening. The like la special effects, they're just flourishes they can help enhance the storytelling, but if you overdo them, sometimes it'll it could hamper the storytelling. So that's why I would avoid that but it's something you can play around with experiment with See if you can get it to work for you. And so those are some options.

So basically there we are done with the special effects video and basically I've shown you now how to do an advanced cut and grayed rendering style a little bit more advanced than we did in learn to color one on one. And as a bonus, I am going to include the my work files for the original pass that I did on on this. So you can take a look at it, you know, dissect my PDFs or PSD s sorry, and but of course while you're working on this, you know, like I said at the beginning, this is you know as we go on to the additional courses They'll be launching, definitely want you to, you know, try to make your own decisions, you know, figure out what's you as far as your color choices, you know, and I'll give you how I approach it, my suggestions and as a, you know, jumping off point, but definitely, you know, try you know, try to see what comes instinctual to you and, you know, do what, you know, make your own decisions, and have fun with it.

So, yep, that's the conclusion of this course. I hope you enjoyed it and hope to see you next time.
