DESCRIPTION: 
Head: contains the cranial cavity which contains the brain and is protected by the skull. There are other structures (arteries, veins, capillaries, nerves, ducts, and so on) and organs (eyes, ear, nose, and so on) present in the head.
Neck: the portion that connects the head to the trunk. It contains the pharynx, larynx, cervical vertebra, and other structures.
Trunk: consists of three cavities – The thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic cavity.
Spinal canal: continues and descends in the posterior region of the body within which runs the spinal cord.
