Photos of some texts written in Simple Gothic Hand. All of these texts were prepared for in-school workshops, for kids ranging in age from 8 to 16 yrs old. In showing them to you, I hope to give you some ideas on how to use your newly-acquired calligraphic skills. In this first example, I used watercolour paints as ink in my 3mm Brause oblique nib on watercolour paper:


The text below was written with a 3mm nib (first line) and a 2mm nib (the following three lines, also on watercolour paper.Translation: That what love is, give everything, sacrifice everything, without hope of getting it back. (Albert Camus)

A 2 mm nib was used for this text, written on "faux" parchment paper. Translation: Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.
