Every piece of content marketing needs some sort of headline. If you think about an email, it's the subject. If you think about an article, it's the title. If you think about a podcast, it's what that podcast episode is called. Now, any marketing expert, Guru, even layperson will tell you just how important this heading is. You get this rise, and everything else becomes a lot easier.
And the reason for that is that people will glance at your headline, your subject, whatever it is, and that's a process that takes half a second, they just look at it. And in that moment, they will decide whether to listen to what you're talking about, to read whatever it is that you've written, or to just not just forget about it. Once They've started accessing the content, then you can hook them in and other ways. But that headline just does so much. It is so crucial. And a lot of marketing people out there, whether they're more traditional marketers or into content marketing will spend most of the time writing that single, single bit of text, the headline.
And then just spend whatever time is left writing the rest, because it is that important. Most people will read the headline, but only a small number will keep reading. So it pays to get it right
