So content marketing, what is content marketing content marketing is where you create content that search engines will find. So you're creating content so that search engines can index that content. And then when somebody is looking for that content that lead to your content, and your products and services. And that's it in a nutshell. So by creating good content by creating useful, relevant information and sharing with people who your target clients are looking for that information, we can lead them back to our website. It's often sometimes called inbound marketing.

And it's basically the same thing. It's taken advantage of search engine. So we've complacent content anywhere essentially, where there's a search engine. So if there's a search engine that people are searching for, and it's relevant, has local value, we can use that. So it's a massive piece of it. Pite was 20%, if you remember that content, but also, when we look at it, it's also has impact on some of the other factors as well.

So just time on page backlinking, everything, that content around what we do is really, really important to drive our SEO. So website design is quite important that this isn't a course on website design. But we will touch on some web design principles to help you get the best out of this. So one of the things we need to think about is when we're creating good content on the golden rule is right for humans that target keywords. So we want to write for humans, but we also want to target keywords and we'll talk about some keyword planning and how we're going to do that a little bit later. But we actually want to move away from some traditional SEO techniques, which was about getting as many of a particular keyword one page as possible, if Google just see keywords in every single part of your web page, and we'll show you how to break that down, and where you can place a keyword a little bit later on, let's say that you're gonna mark that as spam.

So we want to do two things, we want to make sure we communicate the content is actually useful and relevant, and people can enjoy the content. But at the same time, we want to make sure that the search engines can actually pick it up. So when someone's looking for that content, they come to you. The other thing we need to do is make sure we've got a good internal linking strategy. So that means that our web page is linked internally so that Google can index it well, and that's a big tip. A lot of people focus on external linking and building backlinks.

But oftentimes, internal linking can actually be just as nearly I'm going to say nearly as powerful as having good backlinks. So if we can help that Google robot index our pages and make sure we link properly. That's going to really help us
