Episode Four paper. So today I would like to recommend four types of necessary paper, which are bottle paper, watercolor paper, first toe paper, and inkjet paper. So let's start with Bristol paper who has used the paper that I use most of the time. The characteristic of this paper is that it's really smooth. The brand that I'm using is Strathmore, and the thickness of this paper is 270 grams as the picture shown. The advantage of this paper as that is good at absorbing water, which allows us to be able to blend many colors together.

Another benefit is the fact that since the surface is really smooth, it will not ruin the nibs of the alcohol markers. And by the way, as demonstrated in the video, apart from using alcohol marker of butter Every day I will also use Kobe as well, and you will be able to see the similarities of the color and the effect as shown in the video. Bristol paper also has a range of price from around $5 to $12 per pack depending on each brand. Now let's talk about the dis advantageous. The first one is that since it greatly absorb water, it is most likely to consume plenty of ink. So some people have said that it is such a waste of ink but for me personally is such a minor dis advocate because this qualities still make you able to blend color smoothly.

And even though it consumes all of ink it doesn't run out of in within two to three days. For me it lasts for years. And the next paper which is on my recommendation is inkjet paper. This type of paper is really easy to find and it's survived. It all in most office stationery stores. It is just the same as the paper that is used in many office.

But I would just recommend you to choose the one which has around 180 gram thickness. Now let's talk about the advantages of this type of paper. The first one is just like Burstow paper is had good absorption of ink. Therefore you can easily blend colors together. Another advantage is the fact that it also has smooth surface as well so it wouldn't ruin the nip off the mockers. So far, you might be able to see that a characteristics of this paper and Bristow paper are quite similar.

However, I would say there are two main difference. The first one is the fact that Bristol paper is a little bit smaller than inkjet paper and the price of inkjet paper is working way cheaper than brusco paper, not only you can find a really good one for less than $9 per pack. And as part of this advantageous, just like Briscoe paper, it also consumes a lot of ink. Now let's talk about watercolor paper. The first benefit of using watercolor paper is the fact that it can have salt water quite well just like brusco paper, but I would say that watercolor paper absorbs way more color than brusco paper and inkjet paper. So after using alcohol markers on watercolor paper, you can actually feel that the brush become a little bit drier.

This is especially true if you use it on rough kind of watercolor paper so I wouldn't recommend you to color on rough watercolor paper. However, using watercolor paper can also make picture looks a little bit like watercolor Picture. An example is this picture which I actually use marker colors on top of watercolor paper. Then as for the price, I will say that watercolor paper has quite a wide range of price. And according to amaze on, I would say it can range around $7, up to $50 per pack. And finally, the last paper, which is marker paper, which is often misunderstood as the base paper for blockers, but I have to say here again and again that is actually not that good for every type of art.

So, let's dive into the dis advantageous and advantages of this paper. The first is, is the fact that it is really bad at absorbing water or ink. Therefore it can be really hard to blend colors smoothly or Repeatedly color many colors as the same spot. So let's say that you have blend some colors on the paper already and you want to fix it, it might not be possible or it will be quite hard to do so on Mako papers, because you cannot add more or extra colors to make it looks better because there is a limitation on absorbing water on mocker paper. And as you can see, the thickness of this kind of paper is really thin. For example, the one that I demonstrate right now is only 80 gram.

But of course this kind of paper also has advantageous as well. The most obvious one might be the fact that maca papers will have some kind of wax at the backside of the paper. So when you use marker to color on this kind of paper, it will not penetrate to onto the table. So have you asked me what kind of art Suitable for a marker paper, I would say any kind of art that is quite minimal and you don't need many of the blending. Now in the video I will demonstrate you What do I mean by not being able to absorb water. So I will begin by coloring the third color on top of the color on Bristol paper and macro paper.

Then you will be able to see that there are some kind of shiny surface on top of micro papers once you put many colors on top of each other. While this will not happen on top of Bristow or inkjet paper at all. So I will just leave the link down below for you to look into each brand individually. And let's see which paper Do you guys like the most
