DESCRIPTION: Here is another variation of 16s not played as a group of four. These 16s will start to build patterns that we can play the 'Rumba' rhythm with.
At this stage, you will be able to apply the drumming techniques learned so far and now add a new sixteenth note sub-group pattern. You will be able to start playing the first of the Latin rhythms (the Rumba). This is an important and enjoyable rhythm for competent drummers to know how to play.
Also, this lesson has a more interesting piece 'Play Away' for you to play with using the skills you have learned and developed so far.
