In this lecture, I would like to tell you what is the average time a hiring manager spends, while shortlisting their resume. As the name suggests, you will be gone in 30 seconds. So if your resume fails to attract the attention of the shortlisted in 30 seconds, you will have no chance in qualifying for an interview. So make sure all the things that I mentioned earlier, for example, make sure that you have highlighted your specializations. You have a very powerful branding statement or objective statement. All the action points and the action words have been used appropriately.
Your resume has been customized according to the job description at hand, and all those points that were discussed earlier. Another thing that I would like to mention here is that since you have just one page to play with, you just have to mention the what part in your resume, leave the how part for the actual interview. So highlight what you have done, not how you did it. And then finally, I've mentioned this a couple of times before that you must use powerful words like synergy improvise, so on and so forth. You can go online and search powerful words that you can use in a resume and try to incorporate those in your profile as well.
