Guess what everyone this is our last lesson and you will have an assemble Clara handbag. In this lesson we will be assembling our final bag. So the tools you're going to need, you're going to need your exterior bag pieces, your lining pins or clips, your adjustable strap, and you're going to need your swivel class. So let's get started completing this last lesson. Alright, so you should have your main bag and your lining assemble. So go ahead and turn your main back to the right side and leave your lining with the wrong side facing out and is your preference on which inside pocket you want facing which way in the bag.

So for example, I want my sip packet to be in the back of the bag. So myself pocket is down. So I'm going to take my main bag, so the back of the bag and the zip pocket are facing you placing the main bag on the inside of the line. So now what we're going to do, we're going to go ahead and clip line up your side seams. Once you have those clips Go ahead and clip around the wrist of the top of your bag. And remember you're placing the main bag on the inside of your lining.

Once you have this clip all the way around, gonna take it to the sewing machine and we're going to sew it together. Alright, so if you have a plate on your machine go ahead and remove it and arm plate. This will make it easier to sew around the bag again Going half an inch all the way around. So, now that we have our bag sewn together, go ahead and trim this down to about an eighth of an inch all the way around. Right Once you have everything trimmed down, go ahead and use the opening that you left in the lining to turn you back to the right side. poke out all of your corners Now you're going to do two things.

One, you're going to sew up the opening that you left in the lining. I'm just going to take some clips to hold it in place for right now. Go ahead and place your lining on the inside of your bag. The other thing that you're going to do, you're going to top stitch up All the way around your bag to give it a nice clean finish. And I'm just kind of rolling my seams with my fingers. I'm gonna take this to the sewing machine.

I'm going to sew all the way around. Alright, so let's tap stitch all the way around our bag. If your bag is a little stubborn, you can use some clips to hold it in place while you tap stitch. You can also increase your stitch length if you like. Now you've top stitch all the way around your bag. Now you just need to close up the opening that you left in your lining.

And you're just going to sew really close to the edge, right. Don't forget to turn your stitch length back to the regular lamp if you increased it for top stitching so now you've closed up The opening matching left in the bottom. So now that you top stitched a closed up the opening that you left me aligning, go ahead and place your lining on the inside of your bag. You can also zip up your bags. So you have a nice recessed zipper. You have your front pocket here.

All right. So all we have to do now is add your strap. Alright, so grab your strap you should have added on your strap slider. So now what you want to do With the wrong side facing up the wrong side of your strap facing up, right. You want to take the free end of your strap. Make sure your wrong side is facing up.

I want to keep emphasis emphasizing that take the free end of your strap and place it through one of your D rings on your purse. Now my purse the backside of my purse is facing me. So I'm placing the free end of the strap on the lift the ring, right, some placement through the left D ring and I'm pulling it through making sure that it doesn't shift that's the wrong side is still facing up. Now take the free end and you're going to place it through the strap slider so you're going to go under the bottom again and then through the top Just like you did before, right and you're going to pull it through. So now with the wrong side still facing, pull the strap go ahead and take your swivel class and you're gonna place it onto the free end of your strap. Right Make sure your wrong side is facing up.

And you just going to fold it over about an inch and you want to sew to secure this in place just like you secured it in place with the strap slider. Once you have a security in place, you snap it onto the other D ring and you are all done.
