Okay, I'm gonna show you how to drape a circle skirt. Piece of Muslim 18 inches across by 24 inches in length. The length of a skirt actually doesn't really matter it's up to you the length of the skirt. But let's start with a 18 by 24 piece of Muslim from the edge of the Muslim from the salvage coming one age grain line from the top of the Muslim measure six inches unlike two inches in the previous skirt, let's come down six inches and put a little cross mark and that will be our waistline. Top Muslim six inch cross mark waistline. Okay.

Next wants you to measure on your waistline measured an inch and a half about an inch and a half So take your tape measure or your ruler and measure one and a half inches right there. Okay, one and a half. And we're going to put a pin. Put a pin right at that one and a half mark. Now watch this. This is where the magic happens is going to release this pin here from the top of the muslin.

I'm going to slash the muslin down to that pin. Right like this. Okay, this we can get rid of this. So, watch this from the top, down to the pin cross mark From that pink cross mark, now watch, I'm going to shift the Muslim in this direction. So that from that pin cross mark, I'm creating a flare. See that that's a flag right there.

So, slash and pivot, you're gonna pin slash and pivot. And I'll do the same thing one more time. I'm going to measure an inch and a half an inch and a half right there. Okay, put a pin at that one, each one and a half inch cross mark. And once again from the top of the Muslim slash down to that cross mark Okay, let's get good at this. And Again, we're going to create another flavor from that pin crossmark.

Just like that. So now we have two flavors. So you get the idea. Again, pain slash, pivot your Muslim to create a flare. So here's flare number one, number two, we'll do it one more time. Okay, right there, but an inch and a half foot across mark right there, put a pin.

And once again, we're going to slash your Muslim from the top to that pain cross mark right there. Let's get rid of this. And once again, shift your Muslim to create another layer. So look what's happening. We have 123 flayers. Okay, until you get to the side seam, we got to keep that nice and flat.

And we're going to just mark your side seam and mark your waistline all the way across. Okay, just to recap, Mark pain, slash and pivot pin slash pivot playing slash pivot. That is the technique used to create a circle skirt. The last thing we're going to do is to create the hemline the length of the skirt. So I'm going to lift my form. And, again, the length is up to you.

I'm going to use the bottom of the form right here as the length of the skirt. So I'm going to take my pencil marker and come across and mark the length of the skirt following the form all the way around. And if you want to just get rid of some of the extra fabric then it's a matter of connecting the dots literally to create a smooth circular shape and that becomes your circle skirt. Tarah, you're probably wondering, Why did I choose a circle skirt to demonstrate, I could have chosen any number of variations. But this technique that I just demonstrated this technique on how to create a circle skirt can be used in so many ways, not just on the skirt. Like for example, watch this.

I'm going to destroy this skirt to show you other options. Watch this. I've just created a little pepper. Now you can add this to another skirt to address and so on. I can also use this as a neckline or a sleeve, and so on. So that technique can be used to create other designs other motif.

Okay, next, I'm going to show you how to drape a dress. Now, I'll do a very simple basic shape silhouette. But in the process of doing it, I'm going to give you different options. I'm going to show you how you can take a very simple basic shape and silhouette of a dress and transform it and evolve it into other variables as a variation by using tapas and pleats, and Sheree See you next class.
